We were unpleasantly surprised by the incresed entrance fees for the historic sites since 01 Apr. The price went up from 12 to 20 euros for an adult. That is too much for the things you can see, especially when this price applies to all sites through Greece.

The Royal Tombs and the Polycentric Museum are on one €15...

The Royal Tombs and the Polycentric Museum are on one €15 ticket but must be used in a single day. The Palace and amphitheater is free. They are about a 2k walk from the Royal Tomb, some along a dirt road. You’ll probably need to ask as you go as there’s few signposts, but well worth the effort. The Royal Tombs are insitu inside a small hill, and have a very good, and atmospheric presentation of artifacts and the tombs. Also drive to the church of Saint Demetrius. Stunning art work. Have a read about the history and artwork before you go into the church. Entry is down the lane beside the cemetery and church and through a small door. Photo of the Palace.

A lot to see, its a small village with good food and people.

A lot to see, its a small village with good food and people. I enjoy my stay, They are very welcoming. The only think that I would like is for the village to take better care of the strays. If you care for dogs and cats bring some food for the stays.

    The Royal Tombs are stunning.

The Royal Tombs are stunning. The new museum was well presented, although overrun with school kids at times, The new palace site is a long walk uphill, will put people off. A shuttle bus would be excellent with perhaps water stall at the top. Worth the walk but in high summer would be exhausting, esp for older folk.

    Extremely beautiful museum but expensive!

Extremely beautiful museum but expensive! Nice little village with many tourist shops and taverns. The archeological site is disappointing. We thought we needed a ful day to visit but actually you can do it in about two hours. If possible you could combine it with a visit to Veroia which has many things to offer and you could easily spend the rest of the day there. I would suggest: visit Vergina museum in the morning, have a lunch there and go to Veroia.

The hotel is very clean, big rooms. But overall the people working there was great, willing to help in anything you need. I had an experience that shows how kind and helpful are : I forgot the keys of an apartment in Veria and they came to the city, 12 km away from Vergina to bring them . But not only this, I forgot the passport too and she came again to Veria. So my experience was probably the best I had in a hotel. Thank you very much 🏩

Most unusual style of hotel on the top of a hill in its own vineyard. Modern style but traditional building and small family run hotel and restaurant. It was very quiet when we visited and we enjoyed the undivided attention of our host. Quaint rooms with all facilities. Views from the hotel are incredible and worth the visit! Meals and wine very nice too. A great location to visit the Tomb of King Phillip II nearby.

Rooms very clean, comfortable and warm. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were lovely with home made produce and well worth the extra. The guest house is very well placed for the tavernas and cafes in the centre of the village and for the archaeological sites of Vergina. It is quiet with views over the rooftops to the surrounding mountains.

Very friendly host, happy to chat and give local advice. It's not luxury, but excellent value for money. I would recommend it to anybody looking for accommodation in the Vergina/Veria area. The top attraction, the Royal Tombs, is just 300 metres walk.
