Zagora is a lovely village, however, due to its location far away from Volos, as well as its harsh history during the years of the Turkish occupation, it is less 'touristy' and certainly not as picturesque as some of the other villages of the Pelion. There is definitely a 'ruggedness' to the village. I would recommend visiting Zagora for a day or two, and certainly seeing the library, the Ellinomuseio, and the four churches (Agia Paraskevi, Agua Kiriaki, Agios Georgios, Sotira). In the summer, it is also worth visiting Chorefto beach. The best months to visit Zagora weather-wise are from May to September. I visited for two weeks in late October - the average high was about 12°C and while it didn't rain it was cloudy 95% of the time.Guest review byChristinaCanada - 10.0

Zagora is a big village which, unlike a lot of Pelion villages, is not over-run with tourists. You can get the bus or drive to Chorefto Beach which is pretty stunning. We enjoyed exploring the village.Guest review bymaryUnited Kingdom

It offers great value for money and is well-located for visiting various beaches around Pelion. The room featured a generous bed, a fan, a fridge, a desk, a bathroom with toiletries and towels, and Wi-Fi. An air conditioner was not needed, as the area gets quite chilly at night. I could easily imagine staying there comfortably for many nights while exploring different beaches in Pelion. Local square qith bar and taverna located 3 min walk.
