Loved the peace and quiet - just exceptionally calm and beautiful. Also loved how clean and self-contained the property is. Downstairs living / kitchen area is cool and well equipped. Upstairs is light and airy with broad views and a gorgeous terrace open to the sky. Good base to walk, bike or drive from. Photos are accurate. Hosts super accommodative.

    Quiet traditional village but also has quite a few...

    Quiet traditional village but also has quite a few expatriates living there. Hence a good number of facilities (minimarket, butchers, bakery, tavernas, bars, souvlaki joint etc.). It's up on a ridge so catches the breeze if there is one and has great views over the mountains. Being central, it's a good place to base yourself for visits all over the island - but you definitely need a car or bike. It's 15 minutes to beaches on either side of the island. A pleasant 50-minute walk to the closest beach on the Aegean side.
