The location, in the middle of the nature, the jungle, if you want to feel the jungle than you shoud go there. on the river , where you can swim, clear natural water little bit green. many fullday activities offeres, like kayaking to the waterfalls, kayaking to the hotsprings and cave, day tour to playa blanca and livingston... and extra entertainment and opportunities like massage, choco workshop, and many table games and books. thay really take care of the community service. highly recomand for solo travellers. Really good food. You can pay by PayPal, credit card and cash. Even the owner change dollars for us for really good change course. Free filtered water. Beautiful bungalow , and surrounding. One of the best places we stayed in fuatemala, if you like jungle. Well organised boat shutles from Rio Dulce and Livingston.

Amazing stay at La Isla Dulce. Darjia and Douglas are very nice. The place is really quiet and beautiful. The food was yummy. It was great!

The hotel is run by Gershon, Martha, and Ingrid. They are really friendly and help you when you need anything. They are the only locals who run a hotel there, all other hotels are run by foreigners or from the city, personally it made the experience better The food is good and portions big. The room is big and had WiFi, the beds are comfortable. The hotel is basic, but you are in the jungle. The problem with te toiletseats will be solved soon 😉 The hotel is located at the Rio dulce River and you can enjoy the sunset at the hotel or just take one of the kayaks.. It was just amazing! The location is insane wonderful, it’s clean and the cocktails are delicious and the food: one of the best we had so far! The staff is incredible friendly. You can book trips there to Livingston etc and rent a Kayak! It felt like being with the family- Thanks again for this wonderful stay!

In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place.

The staff, the two guys and Angela were sooo friendly! And always willing to help with everything. The food was great. We made a daytrip to Livingston, they showed us many beautiful places and animals, thanks Jose!

Everything was perfect! Staff very attentitive. Best wishes to Enriqe- good english skills and tasty coctails!😉 If you want to escape from town and people- this place is for you. Good view to castle. They also have kayaks. Good breakfast!

Nice staff and room! It is noisy die to the road but if you live in the city it is the same amount of noise. We were so tired from our trip from Mexico city and went straight to Rio dulce it was easy for us to fall a sleep Also pick up (collectivo/public boat) from the hotel to Livingstone and other river lodges

Exceptionally helpful.staff. I only managed to meet Stuart, the owner the morning I was leaving but he made it his business to find me and within 20 minutes organised a shuttle for me to Flores. His staff were also very attentive and gave me all the info I needed for my stay but we're in no way pushy trying to sell me tours. The room was perfect. Clean with a really good fan and a balcony. It was a shared bathroom but only shared with 2 other rooms. Location is stunning. Right on the water and they have a restaurant/bar. I loved Livingston and Casa Nostra made.my stay even better. They also have a few very placid dogs lazing about which is lovely. Highly recommended!
