Pretty garden, big cold pool (for me the temperature was great, very refreshing) and a smaller warm one. The stuff is nice, breakfast was delicious. The room was specious, big bathroom. We had a lovely balcony with the pool and lake view. Overall, I loved it!

What a fantastic experience we had at Picnic Atitlan! The view is the best view in the whole area. To wake up, have breakfast, and dinner with the beautiful Atitlan Lake and volcanos just in front of you, is unforgettable. Jochen, Gaby and George are the best hosts, they take care of every detail. Gaby recommended a great tour, and arranged everything for us. Jochen prepared the most delicious food and cocktails, and George was very attentive and prepared a wonderful lunch too! We stayed in the big room and it was so comfortable and spacious, we didn’t want to leave… We have had the opportunity to travel a lot, and The Picnic Atitlan is one of those places that will stay in our hearts forever!

The property was without doubt one of the most aesthetically considered hotels we’ve been to. The decor (from the artwork to the furniture to the cutlery) was beautiful and incredibly detail oriented, with a local Guatemala / Mayan theme. The setting was even better, with great views over the lake and nicely nestled into the hills. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for you. Definitely visit Casa Palopo if you’re visiting Atitlan.

We came here and immediately fell in love with this place! Everybody is exceptionally friendly, the restaurant stuff is super attentive. The lady who runs the place is such a sweetheart and you can tell that the personnel likes working here. The garden is fantastic and so is the setting. Try the free kayaks. It’s captivating to explore the Lake on your own.

The location of Casa del Mundo is perfect. Every room has a view of the lake and the volcanoes and the whole hotel is full of plants and stairs that connect everything. What a fabulous stay! We absolutely loved our experience here and after doing a lot of research believe it may be the nicest property on the entire lake. Facilities were beautiful with stunning views from the rooms and infinity pool. Staff were world-class, always smiling, energetic, friendly, and ready to say yes. They truly went above and beyond. Bartender Cristian is the best! Our upgraded room was spectacular and newly remodeled with a beautiful tub overlooking the lake. Breakfast, dinner, and drinks at the pool bar were all excellent. The hotel also arranged for a great couples massage, laundry service, and a private boat tour of the lake. Thanks so much and we will be back!!

Spotlessly clean and a beautiful place to stay. The owner himself takes care of the guests well. It's a little far from the centre but that was I was looking for. The hotel has a private parking space, which makes it ideal for guests travelling by car. I definitely recommend this hotel.
