A very clean and comfortable accomodation. Within walking distance from the Podrumi Iloki restaurant and wine cellar. A good bakery is almost next door and the host is very friendly. Off street parking and roll down window shutters for a completely blacked out room at night.

For those traveling with a dog / with dogs: the apartment is in a standalone house but it shares a yard with the house where the hosts live. The hosts have a friendly male dog and two cats who freely roam the (shared) yard. One side of the yard shares a wired fence with the neighbours who have 2 dogs. Those two dogs ignore the host's dog but do bark at the people/anyone passing on the sidewalk.

Very spacious and brand new apartment. The owner was waiting for us during our estimated time of arrival. In the apartment you have everything you need for a longer stay. It contains of huge living room, 2 bed rooms, separated kitchen, bathroom, hall and a baclony. The owner of the apartment lives on the ground floor, so the apartment is on the second floor with a common entrance to the house on the ground floor following with a separated stairway to your apartment. City center is 1,5 km away. You can park your car in front the apartment.

    There are plenty of things to do here – from walking along...

    There are plenty of things to do here – from walking along the Danube or cycling, to visiting a historic castle in the town center, vineyards, or wine cellars, and even enjoying performances at the Slovak House. There are also great options for day trips in the area: Novi Sad and Vukovar are within an hour’s drive, while Belgrade or Osijek can be reached in about two hours by car. Fruška Gora is also nearby.

    Very interesting museum.

    Very interesting museum. Fabulous position on a hill overlooking the Danube and Serbia beyond. Nice medieval core. Excellent winery with great wines to taste, good restaurant in the winery, and interesting cellar to visit.

    Wandering in the evening in the area of the castle and...

    Wandering in the evening in the area of the castle and church is delightful. The whole area is high up and there are spectacular views from the side of the church which offers a swing seat of the Danube and beyond.

    Ilok is a small town along the Danube river, close to the Serbian border in the north east of Croatia, east of Vukovar. There are many vineyards and the wines are of very good quality and taste :-). Anyone can visit the vineyards and buy wines.
