Rovinj is a beautiful city where walking around is a true pleasure. There is so much to see, and I highly recommend it. The city is exceptionally clean, with friendly people, and hospitality deserves every praise. Definitely a place to visit—you won’t regret it. The restaurants are affordable and the food is wonderful. In every restaurant we visited, the staff was very kind and welcoming. Restaurants were v good particularly El Bugador, Puntulina and Rio. Not the cheapest but the quality for what you paid was excellent. Some lovely bars to watch the incredible sunsets too. Easy to walk around Rovinj.
Easy to walk around Rovinj. There is pay parking right at the dock before you get to the old town but I recommend goin a bit further up the hill where the parking is free. I would opt for restaurants that do not have a photo menu but that is my personal bias. We enjoyed a sunset cruise in the fjords and dolphin watching. We also enjoyed some truffle hunting about an hour outside of Rovinj which was well worth the drive. The stairs for the church tower are wooden slats - this may be an issue for those that have vertigo.. :)Guest review byLevertCanada - 10.0
We were there for 4 nights so basically had 3 days to visit.
We were there for 4 nights so basically had 3 days to visit. Free historical tour and craft tour are available and steps away from the studio. These walking tours give you an opportunity to visit the many alleyways of shops as well as give you the background of the culture and politics. Restaurants are numerous and food is good. Smoking is heavy on the outdoor dining so non-smokers must sit inside. Farmers market is a couple of blocks up the street along with the fish market. Bring a bag. A lot of things are paid in cash.
