Most museums were closed and so we had very few options to do. Most shops were also closed. We still enjoyed checking out the historical architecture... the old town was really sweet, lots to admire. Sopron is a pleasant relaxed city.
Sopron is a pleasant relaxed city. We appreciated the relative quietness of the place and that we could wander around without bumping into crowds. I use this hotel every time I am in Sopron on business,...
I use this hotel every time I am in Sopron on business, average two times a year unless it is fully booked up. It is under new management ( I have used it for 15 years ). The one criticism of the hotel is that checkout is at 10AM whereas most hotels of this standard checkout at 12, and that was the case before the new management took over. We were able to come from Vienna very easily by public transport. The hotel has a wonderful view and location right in the forest. Hotel staff were polite and helpful. The hotel was new and nice. The balcony was large and overlooked the beautiful forest view. Also the food we got from the snack bar was very good. The buffet was also good but could have been better.
