Lovely small house which gives you a genuine feeling of privacy. Hospitable host - a native English speaker. If you travel from North, be aware that the ferry which is shown by Google Maps doesn't operate. However in one hundred meters there is a bridge which Google doesn't know about will help you to get to other bank of the river.

    The Andrassy mansion is absolutely beautiful, but it is...

    The Andrassy mansion is absolutely beautiful, but it is still being renovated, although it was supposed to be finished last year, so you cannot view the interior. It is still worth a trip to see it from the outside and to see the garden labyrinth from above. There is also a wonderful playground for the children on the grounds. There are some lovely thatched roof peasant houses in the area also. Tiszadob is located in a very good central place from which to take daily excursions in several directions to wine country, mineral spas, the Nyiregyhazi zoo and aquarium or Skansen, or beautiful village churches and museums. I was not impressed with the local Halasz Csarda which was comparitively expensive for what was served.
