We stayed at Bucka-lak in early September as a couple and had a wonderful time. The place is charming, peaceful, and very quiet — perfect for relaxing. There are good restaurants and coffee spots nearby in Kisvárda. The accommodation is part of an outdoor school, so the rooms are simple rather than premium, but everything is clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The host was very friendly and welcoming. It’s an excellent spot for families, with great fishing opportunities, evening fire grilling, and simply enjoying the beautiful lake. Highly recommended for anyone looking for rest and nature.

The people at the hotel are very friendly and hospitable, especially the owner Josef, who tried bis best to communicate despite me not speaking much Russian/Ukranian/Hungarian and gave a kot of information about traveling in the region. The hotel is not luxurious but very homey and welcoming and has everything you'd need.
