FAQs about hotels in Kuta

Bali Party Capital

One of the first Bali resorts, Kuta has a long, sandy beach and great nightlife - reasons why it’s one of Indonesia’s top tourist spots.

Another popular draw is Kuta surfing. From gentle rollers to lefthanders, the waves are great for all abilities. Several shops in town sell big-brand surf gear at knockdown prices, while other shopping options include Kuta Square, Discovery Mall and Bali Mall Galleria.

There’s also no shortage of places to eat. Street vendors offer local fare, while international cuisine is served in restaurants of the Kuta hotels on Booking.com. When the sun goes down, the heat goes up, as the bars and clubs in party zone Jalan Legian kick into life. For something more refined, the bars by Kuta Beach waterfont are a great spot to watch the sun set with a refreshing cocktail.

If you’re up early enough to see the Sanur Beach sunrise, you might get to see locals throwing traditional offerings into the sea. Spirituality is a big part of Balinese life and there are yoga and meditation classes, not to mention spas to revive the senses.

The gateway to southern Bali, Denpasar Airport is right on the edge of the town, so it won’t be long before you can stretch out and soak up the sun.

The location is very convenient, especially if you're flying in or out—just a short distance from the airport. The staff were friendly, and the room was quite spacious for a solo traveler. I appreciated the small touches like bottled water, coffee, sugar, and tea, plus a nice terrace. On the downside, breakfast wasn’t included, the towel looked a bit dirty (possibly due to its color), and there’s no elevator. The pool water didn’t seem very clean, and the air conditioning wasn’t as cold as expected. Overall, it’s a decent stay if you’re looking for something simple and close to the airport, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Kuta is a great destination for a family holiday, Food choices are amazing with a great range of venues. We travelled as a large family group with friends joining us for a birthday celebration. Fun time had by all with many laughs along the way.

Not for someone who likes a calm stay - too crowded, too many shops selling the same stuff, all the people trying to scam you. luckily we had one honest taxi driver who told us not to buy anything on the streets - buy all your souvenirs from Krisna Oleh Oleh - fixed price and ends up cheaper than the street. Its ok for young party people. Would rather stay in Nusa Dua for a nice calm stay.

    Busy!

Busy! Lots of restaurants and bars though, shops and massage, beauty places. Narrow pavements like much of Bali. Beach is lovely and wide, quite hard to swim but good for a dip and great for surf lessons.

Great for family and learners surfing watching.

Great for family and learners surfing watching. Great swimming pool swimming - temperature good not cold like Ubud! Near to the wonderful perfect Poppies Restaurant [10 mins walk] been "the place" since 1973 I believe. Go there most days - hidden in a garden and every single staff is lon term and part of the Poppies experience.

The only reason for me to stay in Kuta is that it is close to the airport, especially if you arrive in Bali in the evening or night. Kuta is chaotic, noisy and not a place I would stay for any other reason than transit.

The staff were incredible! Super helpful and kind especially with our one year old. Pools were fabulous, buffet breakfast was delicious and so affordable. The hotel itself was beautiful with lots of traditional Balinese aspects. Location was great, right on the beach and just around the corner from plenty of shopping

The location is great, near restaurants, beach, shops. The bed was a bit hard for my liking but ok. The breakfast is small but also good. The room was a good size, there were three of us in three Single beds, plenty of room. Overall a great Balinese hotel with character. Will stay again 🙂

Beautiful lovely hotel with an amazing swimming pool. The staff were wonderful and kind. The hotel is close to the main street, where plenty of restaurants, shops are available. If I am in Bali again I will return back Sandy Resort.
