We liked the central location in Legian. Hawkers should not attend hotel, this is rest time from shopping and bartering. Pad on Bene was our favourite place to eat anytime. Good food.Fat Tony’s burgers great. Water BOM amazing, our son went 4 times during our stay with great water slides. Traffic congestion to Changu and Ubud was horrendous. Love the hustle bustle of Legian, we always come back to the same area. Our favourite tattoo shop is Ketut at Black Dragon on Jl padma timur no 7 and our favourite amazing massage place is Rehat day spa underneath the GrandMas hotel. We love bartering with all the local shops and there are heaps of fixed price shops if you just want to shop in peace (like the 100% genuine fake shop opposite Mecure Legian) Sooooooo many food options such as The Deck (yummy satays), The Daily Habit (amazing waffles) or The Pad on Bene (dragonfruit smoothie for the win) and Kenji (Japanese), amazing coffee at Crema or Coffee Melbourne and ice creams at all the little streetside shops.Guest review byTaliaAustralia - 8.0

The area had everything a traveller to Bali required. The footpaths could do with some repair but the streets and surrounds to reasonably clean. We visited several bars and eateries and none disappointed although the "Steak Project" was a bit on the expensive side. Needed a place to sleep for 2 nights. I was by myself and was out 7am to midnight every day. The hotel was perfect for that. Neat, clean, modern. Has all amenities like in-room tea/coffee, hot shower, great shower pressure, clean comfy beds, properly working AC etc etc. The room would be small for 2 people but for one person it was perfect. I took a room with twin beds so I could leave my suitcase open on the other bed. Staff are very helpful. Great location. My first time in travelling to Bali and I was nervous. I couldn't have been more surprised. Legian is a terrific spot. I felt safe and had fun the whole 10 days that I was there. Our hotel arranged transport when I asked and we also used the Bluebird Taxi App, which is terrrific. I didn't find the beach swimmable but there were many surfers. Restaurants and bars lined the streets, as did shops of all descriptions. So much fun shopping. Taxi rides to visit interesting sites are cheap, as are full day private tours. Our rooftop pool was awesome and we loved spending lots of time there. I can't wait to return.Guest review byktdyrAustralia
