So good we wanted to stay longer, will definitely be returning. Just such a relaxing place to visit. The beaches on the island were beautiful with clear blue water. We ate out in restaurants and cafes. The Deck was amazing for breakfast, drinks and dinner. Also, Lemongrass was another highlight for dinner. It's only a small island so, easy to get around on scooters, but taxis were easy to come by and reasonably priced if you want to have a few drinks.Guest review bySharonAustralia - 10.0

Originally came here a week ago, had a few nights here, fell in love with the place. Reluctantly left to go to Gili Trewangan, left there the next day as I disliked the place and I come straight back to Lembongan. I have been travelling for over four months and by far this is my favourite place I have been to. Forget Thailand, Vietnam and Laos, this island is the perfect fit to me, it has everything I personally need, including loads of friendly dogs that I will miss when I leave here. Sleepy island feels make Lembongan feel like a wonderful contrast to the expansion of Bali. Just enough development to provide some comforts and wellness, some great quality food etc - but still the old charm of the basics to enjoy. The nervous system reset when you need clean oceans, white sands and rustic experiences. The island has really cleaned up a lot in the last few years and you can refill water bottles in most places now; there’s a conscious feeling of preservation there which I appreciate a lot when travelling. Some fairly new developments to increase the accessibility and ease of travel with road improvements make life easier for a lot of travellers - and some fairly good gym and yoga locations appearing which is a great addition to the experience of the island.Guest review byHayleyIndonesia - 10.0

Love at first sight ten years ago. Far away from all huzzle and buzz of Southern Bali, Kuta/ Seminyak, Denpasar-areas that were surprisingly flooded this very time. so we were away from rain and catastrophies, happily exploring the new roads, watching Saraswati processions, eating us through the islands many warungs and resturants. friendly, charming, plenty to see, however seeing so much rubbish / trash lying about took away some of the 'shine'. Possibly the establishment of an organisation ?volunteer or ?commercial to recycle plastics (bottles) could certainly assist in recycling some of the plastics. Great small island best stay here the longest part of your trip not the shortest, I was here 15 years ago and its hardly changed unlike the rest of Bali. Mushroom beach is defiantly the best place for lazy style island life! If you don't stay in a beach front you may be disappointed with the surroundings and unmade roads around Mushroom bay so stay as close to the beach as possible, Beanbag beach night dining and each beachside restaurant has a small camp fire on the beach at night. Same as everywhere in SE Asia a few steps off the beach and the warungs are 1/2 the price of beachfront food and drinks. Suits couples and families best as there is no nightlife at this end of the island although beachfront has live music most nights!
