Had a great stay at Ekas Loka Surf Hostel. Super location, walking distance from Ekas beach, warungs and small shops. Surf is only a 10-15 min bike ride away. The hostel is basic, nothing fancy. But its clean and comfortable. The hostel is in the village, so got a glimpse of Ekas village life. Angga showed us a really good time during our stay. He took us spearfishing, snorkeling and to attend local village festivals. He even introduced us to the local palm wine. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a most memorable time!

What an amazing place. The floating hotel is amazing, out in the sea with stunning views for both sunrise and sunset. Reached by an included boat trip to get you truly away from it all!! Beautiful, basic accomodation that gives you a real taste for local culture in the area. Our amazing host family, so friendly and welcoming, couldn't have done more for us and really made our stay a very special experience!! Food was delicious, some of the best we have eaten during our trip. If you want a unique memorable experience, you must visit!

I absolutely loved my stay here — it was magical from start to finish. The peaceful setting, surrounded by lush nature, made it feel like a true escape. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel at home; they were so warm, friendly, and thoughtful. Waking up to birdsong, enjoying breakfast with a jungle view, and watching sunsets under palm trees — I could’ve stayed forever. And bonus: there’s even an adorable kitten/dogs roaming around! I loved everything. Personnel- just amazing, extremely friendly personnel and available 24hrs. Especially I would like to thank Saka. He was very helpful. He contacted me before I traveled, explained what I need and provided his support before I arrived to hotel and during my entire stay. I would also like to thank Matthew (Manager). His support was priceless. He also took us to the Turtle Beach- which is one of the best place in Lombok. We liked Lombok. a lot and I wish I could stay there longer. I would like also to mention that their food are high quality food and organic-the room also has a kitchen outside- if you want you can also use their open space kitchen which is located outside while watching a sunset- amazing experience.

We had a great stay in Melody. The rooms were basic but it was only opened recently so rooms and bed were new and comfortable. No need for air conditioning as it was cool enough at night. Perfect located between Inside and Outside breaks although you will need a scooter to get around which they organized for us but that is the same with most of Ekas. Jaja was an excellent host and Ranga was a great energy around the place. Any of our requests were met and always with a smile. Stayed for 2 nights and looked to extend but they were booked up. Still returned to see them at Melody even after we had checked out to play some chess, surf and chat. Even brought me to meet some locals and drink some rice wine. Would definitely return again and it is great to see some locals putting their own stamp on the area.
