This hotel was one of my favorite stays throughout my travels! The Hotel is nestled into an expansive lush jungle with nothing as far as the eyes can see. It is secluded and far away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist hotspots in Bali, and I could not be happier with my selection. The staff were absolutely fantastic too! They were friendly, attentive and a joy to deal with. The villas are stunningly beautiful and seamlessly blend into the surrounding greenery.

Really felt like we are alone in the middle of the jungle. There was attention to detail, from the room to the facilities and restaurant. The resort was so amazing. The staff was so friendly and sweet. Our daughter loved everything about it and we did too. They remembered her name and every day there was a surprise in our room.     Payangan is about 20 - 30 minutes out of Ubud, depending on traffic. It is an excellent introduction to Balinese village life and the 'real' Bali. There are no facilities except some basic little general stores, and no ATM in the village. Outside of the hotels, there are no restaurants. It's a 'get away from it all' destination.

    + - Beautiful place - Amazing surroundings. - Friendly staff - Good food - Spacious rooms - - Little flaws in the room (airco and fan not working properly) - Little bit overpriced (laundry service, taxi service) - Staff should put out cushions by the pool when pool opens (we had to ask after being there for 2 hours) - The charge of 10% service fee on everything really bothered us.

    The area is spectacularly beautiful however it cops a lot of rain and there can be land slides which cut road access. Our hotel (Adiwana Dara Ayu Villas) was a long way from other properties, so eating options (hotels, restaurants, local warungs) were non existent and sadly as the food in our hotel was abysmal (even the Indonesian was done badly) we skipped eating meals which diminished the pleasure of the holiday.

    Beautiful place with beautiful people. Wayan is the friendliest host on Bali, who also serves sitting meditation every evening to guests. Tranquil and serene vibe, in this place 20 min from Ubud. Not for party people, great for genuine connections and relaxation in a village setting, I could sit there all day every day and stare at the beautiful lotus flowers in the garden, watch the dogs play and have deep conversations with the host.

    Everything! What a heavenly place. The infinity pool overlooking the jungle landscape was simply beautiful. The wooden chalet I stayed at was gorgeous and sparkling clean. Treated myself to a lovely Balinese massage. Song Broek provided me with the ultimate escape.
