I stayed here with my family and this hotel is amazing! It has a wide garden with tropical plants and the ambience is so relaxing. The family who runs the hotel is really kind and welcoming 🙏🏼 if I had to come back to Lombok I would definitely go there

Staying at Rudy Trekker Guest House was the perfect start to my Rinjani adventure. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and well cared for. The check-in was smooth, and they immediately helped me prepare for my trek with clear explanations, tips, and a genuine concern for my safety and comfort. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet — exactly what you need before taking on a challenging hike. The hot shower and air conditioning were a blessing, and the bed gave me a truly restful night’s sleep. Their restaurant serves delicious local food, and the pool with jungle views is a wonderful bonus to relax before or after trekking. What impressed me most, however, was the hospitality and thoughtfulness of the team. They made sure I had everything I needed, patiently answered all my questions, and checked that I felt confident and safe before starting the climb. I never felt like just another guest; I felt genuinely looked after. If you’re planning to trek Rinjani, I can’t recommend Rudy Trekker enough. Their warmth, professionalism, and care for both guests and the mountain make them stand out in every way.

Stunning, rural location overlooking rice fields, lush greenery and Mont Rinjani summit in the distance. The constant hum of crickets and the flittering of hundreds of dragonflies along with the scenery makes for a gorgeous nature retreat away from it all. Nip and Awan, along with their lovely family, were lovely hosts and the homemade food was delicious. Nip and Molls took us in the most amazing trek across paddy fields, down through jungle, across rivers and up to Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls, as well as showing us and explaining about traditional villages and taking us to an ancient mosque. Nip was really knowledgeable about everything from agriculture, plants, traditions and history and we would highly recommend taking her up on her offering of this opportunity. We will definitely be back if we’re ever in Lombok again. We didn’t do the Mont Rinjani trek this time but you always have to leave something to come back to do, right?! Thank you so much for a memorable experience 🙏🏼

The host Ita looks after you incredibly well. The views, food and location don’t disappoint and the rooms, even the bathroom is beautiful. I highly recommend staying here. It has a lot of soul.

I had the most welcoming guest, who made a delicious breakfast with banana pancakes. The place is very clean, the shower has hot water and a good pressure. The location is great, it is very close to the waterfalls. Rio also took me to see the rice fields and to Pergasingan Hill. He is a very friendly and respectul host. I would come back here without hesitation.

    Was exhausted after Mt.

    Was exhausted after Mt. Rinjani climb and this impacted on my exploration of the wider area, which I would've liked to have done more of. Also despite being officially the 'dry season', the weather was often overcast and rainy. I think had things been slightly different and I had had more time, the experience would have been better.. But still a lovely place that has less tourists than other parts of Indonesia.

    Amazing place and highly recommend.

    Amazing place and highly recommend. It’s a combination of slow living, being in nature and an amazing homestay experience! Not much do to except for hiking, seeing the local way of living and relaxing, that totally fits us :) thank you Awan, Nip en Sukma for the nice stay, the good food and the playing with the necklace ;) Small bit of feedback: make sure you let them know early if you want to have food on a specific time - especially when you have plans. If you’re going in Ramadan period, take your earplugs with you. There are lots of mosque sounds through speakers, also at night. So sleeping can be a bit of a challenge. Highly recommend!

    We stayed in Lombok just 4 days and we like Senaru as our base, because it was quiet, local.people very kind and friendly and you can explore many different things by travelling just a short distance - Tiu Kelep waterfall, rice fields, sunset point, traditional village and stick fighting.

    Beautiful waterfall and hiking, but to many “helpers” trying to make a block off too few tourist a few days before hiking season, around town. They are very nice but it was sad to have to say no thank you so much.

    The waterfall walk at Senaru was a bit slippery, and the...

    The waterfall walk at Senaru was a bit slippery, and the trek to the main waterfall requires sensible shoes and includes crossing the creek, so you will get wet feet. We didn't use a guide but reccommend you do as it is not always clear where to go. We also uses the scooter riders instead of waling back up the hill. Well worth it, some great views over the valley, but the track is narrow and steep on one side so if you are afraid of heights maybe think twice.
