This is really our type of holiday. The silent and peaceful, countryside, surrounded by nature and cute animals, a lovely garden, a cozy old cottage with everything you need. Big plus for us was the fireplace that is the main reason we booked the cottage. We love to light the fire and enjoy the atmosphere! It means a lot to us during our trips. Smart tv with big variety of channels, we enjoyed a movie with the fire on, and candles in the sitting room. So many lovley beaches and sightseeing around, without 30 mins drive there is already a lot to see. Tasty and big breakfast in the morning, cooked for us by the host Nettie, that took very good care of us during our stay. We would have loved to stay more, unfortunately we could stay only 1 night. We have been blessed with the weather as well. Hopefully we will go back! If you are looking for all the above, this is the place. The place was easy to reach. Thanks for everything! The house was exceptionally clean and had everything we could possibly need for a great stay. We were travelling with a toddler and the owners made the house safe for them and provided all baby equipment. The house is very cosy, well equipped and has a great view of Nephin.

Thistledown is like a home from home. It has everything and more that you’d need while you’re there. Pristine clean too. Raymond is very kind and so approachable. They make a great team. Can’t recommend this place enough. My second time staying here and if I return to Ireland I’ll be back.

The stay at Stella Maris was exactly what we had imagined. We could switch off completely and enjoy nature. Francis is a very dear and friendly hostess. It was a pleasure for us to meet her! The breakfast is prepared very tasty. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable.

This beautiful and historic castle is set within 1,000 acres of woodland. On the banks of the River Moy, it boasts a restaurant made from the remains of a 17th-century Spanish galleon.

Everything was perfect. The food is very good, the beds are amazing. Everybody here is so kind and available. If you need to pass by Ballina, I recommend to stop by. We spend a wonderful time here.

Staff hospitality. Views. Safe Parking. Great breakfast. We were lucky to be upgraded to a room with a sea view on the good will of the hosts. Grateful for this, as there was an amazing sunset when we arrived.
