Wonderful room, really clean and big, with a huge beautiful bathroom and quiet surroundings. Super breakfast (freshly prepared and both continental and traditional) and, last but not least, very warm and helpful hosts. We would love to come back, highly recommended!!!

A really exceptional accommodation. Maureen and Ronald were the best hosts we've ever met, friendly and helpful. Our kids loved them and their cute dogs. We couldn't wait to get back from the trips back to Glenvela house. In addition, the rooms were stylish and beautifully decorated. The location was beautiful and quiet. Thank you!

Margaret is a fantastic host, very friendly and welcoming. The whole B&B was immaculate and a home away from home. On our return to the room from a wedding near by (on a cold February night) Margaret had added a much appreciated touch, an electric blanket being turned on. A delicious continental breakfast awaited us the next morning with a vast array of fresh fruit, breads and cereals.

The stay was amazing. The house was beautiful and well maintained. The location was perfect for a getaway from the city. Kieran was lovely, and introduced us to all the animals. We're going to be talking about Danny the cat and Milo the lamb for a while :)

It’s so peaceful and calming, right on the lake. Micheal the owner checked on us now and then as we were 5 females aged 16-65 on our own we really appreciated that !Lovely kind man! It was large, clean and really well equiped. We were met by Hazel , she was so sweet and had the cottage heated and welcoming, even a nice welcome cake.

    Perfect for a couple or group of friends who want to escape...

    Perfect for a couple or group of friends who want to escape the hustle and bustle of modern life for a weekend. The location is very rural, but the roads are decent although winding. There are a few heritage sites within walking distance and even more within a 20 minute drive. If you have a particular interest in exploring, the host is only delighted to share his favourite spots. If leisure is more your style, the house is well fitted with a kitchen, sofa and an electric fire. The spot is very clean and super cosy; perfect for a winter weekend escape!

    well we were staying there as we were visiting relations in...

    well we were staying there as we were visiting relations in the area. never here before and if your looking for a peaceful rural setting you found gold. you need transport if staying here. a few restaurants available in the village about 6km away. there is a lidl to get a few bits n bobs. americans be warned the roads are going to be a challenge to you. they are in good condition but narrow and winding. nothing to avoid in my next visit, perfect.. would gladly live there.
