Clifden is a small but mighty town in west of Ireland.
Clifden is a small but mighty town in west of Ireland. Some great pubs with fantastic live music in the evenings and nighttime. Must mention Ravis and Lowrys in particular. Loved the area, views, beaches especially when portable toilets nearby. One beach had sinking sand so unable to walk along the edge due to a shoulder injury. A bit disappointed with the food options. We have a daughter who is gluten, dairy and nut free. Salads were offered and steak, which is expensive. Very upsetting 😡 Overall staff did try their best. Keogh pub was able to provide chips, burger and bacon and cabbage 😋 very bad network in areas. Shops were good. Supervalu had the gf, df options in clifden. The service was fantastic throughout — warm, attentive, and welcoming. The restaurant was a highlight: breakfast was included and served à la carte with a lovely selection, and we also had a very nice dinner there. The food was excellent, and the view over the lake made the experience even more special. Our room was spacious, with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed.
