Very friendly,helpful owner...we felt most welcome and it was very pleasant indeed to find we didn't have to pay extra for our dog. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. The location was super too.

We really enjoyed staying at Castlehouse for 2 nights. It was comfortable, clean, great breakfast, beautiful scenery and the best part was getting to chat with the owner, John who is super friendly and helpful. We loved it there!

These apartments are very convenient to the Kylemore Abbey, very well updated, spiral staircase to the loft, main bedroom on the main floor. Kitchen well appointed! Furniture was comfortable; however, only a love seat available in the family room; others had to use kitchen chairs. Beds were very comfortable; however, bed coverings was only a down comforter in duvet, no sheet or blanket. During the night, we had to uncover, then recover, etc. Common in all of our stays; not unique to this location. Location is spectacular, with a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. Kylemore Inn is just up the road for dinner and breakfast; the host made our entire Ireland stay memorable!

Lovely spacious house right next to Connemara National Park and lovely beaches close by. Shop and restaurant a walking distance away. I stayed with my two dogs and the space was ideal for them. I am always delighted to find dog friendly accommodation. The house was spotlessly clean, beds were very comfortable and the house was lovely and warm on arrival. The host replied promptly to any question I had and was extremely accommodating and helpful when I had to amend my booking at the last minute. The only thing that might need checking is some of the blinds. One or two appear to be stuck open. This didn’t affect me as I only used one bedroom where they did work. In all, I’d highly recommend the house to solo travellers or groups with or without dogs in tow.

We loved the animals roaming around! The setting was beautiful! The home was adorable and very comfortable! We wished we had booked it for two nights instead of just one! Short walk to Letterfrack and a close drive to Clifton and Kylemore Abbey! Absolutely lovely farm cottage! We loved it and would love to return someday!

    Renvyle is a really nice place to stay, with space to take time on-premises, but also in the heart of Connemara from which to explore the beaches, towns and countryside. The staff are very helpful and the hotel provides good food in both the pub and restaurant.

    I had a wonderful, if too short, stay.

    I had a wonderful, if too short, stay. I used the outdoor pool and the hot tubs. Had a five star dinner with wonderful service. The staff are all amazing. An amazing nights sleep on the most comfortable beds. Delicious breakfast with so much choice and then it was off home for us :)

    Great location, stunning scenery and routes for hiking and cycling. Ate out at Paddy Coyne’s - excellent food and service. Easy access to Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey and only 20 minutes drive to get ferry to Inisboffin.

    We enjoyed a 2 night stay in Renvyle House for my husband's 60th birthday..From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and comfortable in the beautiful surroundings despite the rain showers.We enjoyed the delicious 5 course meal on the first night and the staff were so nice,they even sang Happy Birthday and presented a small cake with a candle to my hubby..The second night we had the bar menu and that was also delicious.We will be back again for sure,thank you Renvyle House staff.

    This village is too remote with no cafes/restaurants or taxi...

    This village is too remote with no cafes/restaurants or taxi service. It used to have cafe and taxis but not any more. It has a good petrol station and shop. We travelled to Letterfrack/Clifden/Roundstone and Cleggan beaches incredible food lovely would definitely stay in 1 of these villages in future.

    Very quiet and peaceful area. Hiking is spectacular . Easy to drive around the area , roads are narrow and drive on the left , but the country roads are quiet , more sheep than anything on them ! And always give way to sheep :) Everyone was friendly and helpful . Loved this beautiful area and exploring Connemara National Park.

    We loved staying at this hotel for one night, we wished we could have stayed two. The hotel owner is the sweetest person we've met on our entire trip, she makes you feel special. Dear Madam, keep smiling at all times, we were particularly touched by your warm welcome The breakfast was excellent and very well served, the staff was very kind We will recommend your place to our loved ones, be sure it was our best experience in Ireland

    We had a lovely stay at castlehouse b&b ! The authenticity of the place is refreshing as well as the kindness of the host, John, who gave us many helpful advice on local places. We strongly recommend it to anyone looking to have a nice and authentic stay in Connemara ! And big plus for the really nice view from the bedroom on the countryside and sea !

    I was surprised to hear that breakfast only started at 8.30, but in fairness to the staff, an earlier breeakfast was prepared for me. So, top marks to the hotel for adapting to my requirements. Staff were amazing by the way.
