Dalkey is a charming little town right on the train route.
Dalkey is a charming little town right on the train route. The Coliemore rooms are super accessible right behind the lovely pub. Be sure to visit the Sorrento Park and Dalkey Island using the local ferry. Also the Dalkey Hill provides great views of the area and Dublin. Be sure to note that the train does take 25 minutes or so to get into Dublin, so you need to plan for that if you're going into the city.Guest review byCraigUnited States - 10.0

Beautiful and quaint historic town with a superb heritage centre ideal for a family visit. Highly entertaining tour with actors in costume and lots of interaction. Surrounding areas picturesque. Not easy to drive around Dalkey..Must have been a nice area long ago before traffic and construction clogged it up..The facade of the village buildings is nice and well maintained. Malahide and Howth would be a far better option for a city break.Guest review byColetteIreland - 8.0

What a lovely little place. The main street (Castle Street) is an absolute joy, boutique little restaurants and cafes alongside niche shops. I was there on business but will absolutely be coming back as a tourist.Guest review bySimon
