Beautiful setting and grounds, eager anticipation of a great stay was however quickly dissipated at reception where we were told the room we had already paid for was not available. We were downgraded from a 2 roomed lodge, more appropriate for us and our adult daughter, to a family room, more appropriate for a family with young child. Took several visits to reception to establish what seems to be a paltry and arbitrary partial refund, not even any goodwill compensation offered. We were there for a close friend's wedding so did not want the issue to suck any more energy and joy out of us so didn't kick up more of a fuss. Future visitors, please stick to your guns and get the room you paid for. Other than that the event was great, facilities were very good, breakfast and wedding meals were just lovely. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful Spa area. Bedroom was clean and overlooked a lovely green area. We found ourselves locked in the spa area as are wristbands seemed to have been timed out.
