The place was incredibly calm and quiet. I slept like a log! The views from the kitchen window were beautiful even on a rainy day. And Margaret was an exceptional guest. Highly recommended!

The hosts were very welcoming. It was a very friendly household. The roads surrounding the property were quiet and beautiful, perfect for early morning walks, which I did. The view from my breakfast table, as the sun was coming up, was stunning.

House was very comfortable. Everything was supplied. Large private parking area. Location is idyllic and close to local towns. Lovely area for walking. Lots of places to visit. Host very hospitable. Very welcome hamper supplied on arrival.

The breakfasts were amazing - from traditional Irish breakfast with bacon and sausage to vegetarian broccoli omelette. I am gluten-free and the host had multiple options for me which made me feel very welcome and cared for. The bed was very comfortable. The house was in a beautiful location on a lake. It was quiet and peaceful. The host, Andy, was fun and interesting to talk to. Basically, I liked everything.

Great location nice and peaceful my grandson loved thst he could fish right outside the front of the house and we enjoyed sitting there looking at the water and the ducks. Every day weather was beautiful when we stayed

    We were there for a Christmas family gathering.

    We were there for a Christmas family gathering. There was lots to do. Lough Key Forest Park being one of the main attractions. Also there are other swimming locations nearby. Boyle is a lovely town with lots to do both in the town and in the immediate area.

    Boyle is a suitable location for exploring Leitrim or Roscommon and is ideal for anyone participating tin the Carrick on Shannon Camino. It's about 15 minutes from Carrick. The King's House which I didn't have time to visit, has historical links to the owners of Mitchelstown Castle ,The Earls of Kingston which was the largest Castle to be destroyed during the period of the War of Independence. There are many historical places of interest in the locality such as Strokestown House and Lough Key Forest Park. Thoroughly recommended as a touring base.

    For a two day stay in Boyle without a car - there's plenty...

    For a two day stay in Boyle without a car - there's plenty to see and do. The King House and the Abbey are within easy walking distance and Lough Key Forest Park is 3km pleasant walk from town. Boyle is an historic, friendly, and pretty town worth visiting. Had great dinners in Lovage and New Taichi Court, and a gorgeous pint in An Croabhín. King House Tea rooms have a good menu and great coffee.

    Could not recommend this cottage enough! Super clean, lovely area, amazing host, all the supplies you need including fresh bread, milk and butter. Very peaceful location if you want some quiet time in nature while being a short drive to Boyle and Carrick on Shannon for restaurants and bars. We will be back!

    Fantastic few days, house is modern and clean. Ideal location short drive from boyle and carrick-on-shannon. Plenty of wildlife and places to adventure near by. Padraig was a wonderful host and gave us a lot of information on the area on our arrival, Highchair and cot were also set up and ready for use.

    I really enjoyed my brief stay. Maggie is a delightful host who helped me with any needs I had as a new visitor to the area. She provided an abundant fresh breakfast every morning and her home and gardens are lovely. Boyle is a charming town. I recommend all!
