Set back in a beautiful, peaceful location close to the Blue Flag Fintra Beach. The cottage has everything you will need for an extremely comfortable stay, and if wifi is something you require, a perfect high-speed system is available to connect to, with access to Netflix and more. This cottage has room for everyone. A sun room with the background sound of the stream outside, a fantastic lounge with comfy seats, and a stone floored kitchen with a rocking chair, and even a small dog bed for our Lucy, who loved her stay.     We might have done a better job at researching what boat or...

    We might have done a better job at researching what boat or land tours would be available. We had hoped to take a boa trip under Slieve Liege cliffas and maybe a day tour to Gleneveagh National Park or Inishowen. There was a small tourist info building, but it did not open until Monday. The helpful man behind the counter seemed to indicate that once the last cruise ship visit of the season was gone, things quieted down quite a bit. It was rainy and windy most of the time. We did take a local link bus out to Glencolumbkill; weather was damp and windy, but we enjoyed the ride and had a nice lunch at a cafe, and got some business done at the post office. So the stay was a little disappointing, but, as I said, we might have done a little more research before we went. We did meet some great locals waiting for the bus, etc. and had some great chats. Our first 8 days in Ireland, travelling with family who could only stay 7 nights was a smashing success!! We have all visited Ireland several times, at least.

    Great base for travelling around.

    Great base for travelling around. Visited Slieve League, Assaranacha Falls, Mahera beach and caves, the Glengesh Pass, glen columcille, The Rusty Mackerel and The Boathouse in Killybegs, Donegal Town and The smugglers creek in Rossnowlagh . So we covered a lot of ground!!

    Killybegs is a fishing town with a beautiful harbour with restaurants offering very tasty fresh fish dishes daily, and lovely bars if you fancy a tipple, the people are so nice and always have time for a chat. Killybegs is not to far from the historical Donegal town and the seaside resort Bundoran and lots of other beaches spread throughout the county, well worth a visit

    This is a great little town and its growing.

    This is a great little town and its growing. It has an amazing little sea port you can walk about and has a few great pubs with great food and of course, iced cold beers. Very convenient to everything if you are visiting this area of Ireland.

    This is the friendliest place in the world.

    This is the friendliest place in the world. So many amazing places to eat with views that are unforgettable. Strangely there are no bins, not even a dog waste bin. This is the only bad thing I can think of.

    Killybegs is a beautiful part of the country, fantastic...

    Killybegs is a beautiful part of the country, fantastic beaches and great for fishing. Highly recommended to anyone, if it isn’t on your bucket list then you should add it! And don’t forget the Seafood Shack, delicious, fresh seafood cooked right in front of you!

    Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. Location of the hotel is super central in Killybegs, within walking distance of restaurants and supermarket. The bathroom was basic but adequate. We were happy with the location as a starting point for several excursions in the area. Patricia is a wonderful host, helps with recommendations and was very patient when our payment bounced :-) Lovely people.

    Brilliant location within walking distance to Killybegs plus an excellent base to go and visit other parts of Donegal. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. A lovely touch was the welcome basket of treats! I had a small query and the owner dealt with it quickly, very approachable and helpful.

    Superb location. As clean as a whistle. All mod cons. Would have no hesitation in returning. Fabulous beach practically on site. Great places to visit all within 45 minutes of the cottage by car. The host's recommendations re restaurants/coffee shops in Killybegs were very accurate.
