A cute small town with nice restaurants and cafes. A few nice shops. Nice place to stay I'd you're traveling around Connemara. It's about and hour to Kylemore Abby as well as to the ferry or airport that gets you to the Aran Islands. Definitely work a stop if you have some time. Location was amazing. Room was beautiful and spacious with great storage. Couple from Venice who were just leaving had loved their peaceful week exploring.
