This super friendly little hostel is a winner! Its location in the middle of Connemara is optimal for exploring the surroundings in all directions (by car). You will find a lot more than you need for cooking in the open space kitchen. There's a spacious room for eating and also a cozy lounge with a little fire place - and a lake view. The dorm might be a bit small, but you'll find storage space under the bed (lockable if you bring a pad lock). Shared toilets and showers are functional and clean. Also...they have the most comfortable hostel bed I've ever slept in (personal preference). I felt genuinely welcome and looked after by the staff at Ben Lettery Hostel and will for sure return as soon as possible!

We were astounded by this Hotel which is literally in the middle of nowhere, lovely view of the mountains and lake. The room was great, it's an old hotel so the older type of furniture was in keeping. I asked for a separate shower, not one over the bath, and got that. The breakfast was first class as were the dinners that we had there. Lovely bar area and lounge. It is certainly a hotel we will visit again in the near future.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ardagh Hotel. The service was fantastic throughout — warm, attentive, and welcoming. The restaurant was a highlight: breakfast was included and served à la carte with a lovely selection, and we also had a very nice dinner there. The food was excellent, and the view over the lake made the experience even more special. Our room was spacious, with beautiful views and a very comfortable bed. A truly relaxing and memorable stay — we would happily return!

Very nice location, especially if you are up for some hikes in the area (or are into fishing). The staff is super friendly and very helpful, despite us arriving really late (apologies again ;-)). The breakfast has been great, however the very best experience has been the delicious diner in style with other (few) guests on the long dining table.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Roundstone House Hotel in Galway! Everything was absolutely lovely from start to finish. The hotel was spotless and beautifully maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, very nice and really warm. Also thank you for the birthday surprise—it really made day extra special. The food was also fantastic—delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Every meal was a treat, and the cozy setting made dining even more enjoyable. Honestly, everything was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a charming and relaxing getaway in Roundstone, Co.Galway.

We stayed here for just one night after a day of trekking in Connemara. A lovely cosy little hotel in the centre of Clifden which offered everything we needed - friendly staff, comfortable beds, excellent breakfast and a central location thanks we could choose which pub in Clifden to have a beer and listen to live music on a Saturday night. Excellent breakfast included in the price in three options - Irish classic breakfast, Irish vegetarian breakfast and continental breakfast.

    We were not expecting such a beautiful and well-kept place.

    We were not expecting such a beautiful and well-kept place. Not was it only beautiful, it was incredibly comfortable and pristinely well kept. everything looked brand-new, and it was put together with great taste. The spaces were huge, and super comfortable. The hostess is the best you can ask for, she is kind, helpful, friendly, and super nice. The place is so beautiful, there is so much nature exploring to do. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is either passing through or would like to stay longer to get to know the area. Best bed and breakfast we have stayed for sure. Breakfast is amazing by the way, she is just fantastic in every way.

    The hotel was on the shores of Lough Inagh but very central to the sights of Connemara. All were within a short driving distance. The room was out of this world with an amazing view of the lake. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and the meals were excellent.

    Beautiful family run hotel in a stunning setting. Our room was lovely with a four poster bed. I had the seafood chowder and sirloin steak.... Both were cooked to perfection. The place was spotless with that lovely wood burning aroma u only get with an open fire.
