Prakashji was very polite, informative & helpful. The property is clean and has all the basic comforts and is located close to all the important locations incl the famous temple but is away from the hustle & bustle.

    Can't find much of a reason to be in Barkot other than as a...

    Can't find much of a reason to be in Barkot other than as a layover to the next location. There is some interesting old architecture down in the community and some old ashrams. I tended to eat in main street tea shops. There are many of them and lots of choices for inexpensive meals. I did take a long hike up into the hills above the city to get away from the noise (incessant horn honking).
