It’s more than just a hotel—it’s a living, breathing piece of history and architecture that left me completely spellbound. “I also wanted to thank Preety, Amy and the staff at the SeaLounge” From the moment I walked through the doors, I was treated like royalty. The customer service was flawless, with staff who were not only professional but genuinely warm and attentive. Everything—from the check-in process to the smallest personal touches—was handled with care and grace. The location is unbeatable, with views of the Gateway of India and the Arabian Sea just steps away. My mornings began with an incredible breakfast spread offering a vast array of delicious options from across India and beyond. The culinary excellence was matched only by the service and presentation. What truly set this experience apart was the sense of history that envelops the hotel. A special thank you to Mr. Newton, the in-house historian, who spent two hours personally walking me through the rich legacy of the palace. Having worked there for over 44 years, his stories, insights, and passion brought the walls of the hotel to life. It was like walking through time, guided by someone who had lived it. I only stayed four days, and it wasn’t nearly enough. I didn’t want to leave. Next time, I’ll be staying longer—because the Taj isn’t just a place to sleep; it’s a destination in itself. Thank you to everyone at the Taj Mahal Palace for creating memories I will cherish forever. I can’t wait to return.

The food from the hotel's restaurant (which isn't on site, but 2 minutes walk from the hotel) is so good and you can also order it in your room. The filth; the crowd and the traffic is a nightmare when you visit Mumbai. One is surprised that there is no epidemic here. People live in marshy lands infested with mosquitoes. The authorities does not seem to be working.

Mumbai has a different wibe.

Mumbai has a different wibe. A charming city with different flavours. Not sure whether 100's of flyovers is a corerct solution to address the traffic issues - because 10-15 years ago, we could comfortably go around Mumbai with lesser chaos. Now, it is confusing and more traffic-jams. Ofcourse, roads need better care - its Financial Capital look is waning away. Still Mumbai/Bombay-wibe is there in the air.

Absolute recommendation for a couple of days in historic Mumbai. The Residency is a very well run small hotel in central Mumbai. Most of the UNESCO heritage site and remainders of colonial Bombay are in walking distance. The hotel offers decent rooms with en suite bathrooms and a good breakfast. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly and makes the most out of their hotel. Very good value for money. Hotel offers a pickup at the airport also in the middle of the night. Just ask the reception.

Spotlessly clean, quiet and safe side street. Prompt pickup and drop-off. Only 10 min from Mumbai airport. NAZ restaurant is 100 meters away. The staff are very kind and hospitable. They brought us complimentary drinks and fruit and little snacks to our rooms. Gorgeous shower, good aircon, great beds, total noise insulation windows. Good luttle roof terrace tk sit eith a beer on the swing watching the sunset.Would definitely stay at Hotel Naz again!! Definitely the best option near the airport!!

Walking distance from Mumbai airport, this hotel is perfect location for short visits. The room was really clean and comfortable and the shower had great pressure and hot water. We were able to walk to the metro nearby and later to the airport for our outbound international flight. Though in an industrial area, the food options nearby are plentiful and super delicious and extraordinarily cheap!
