The city has changed and developed and evolved a lot as per our last visit , which was 11-12 years ago. Now you have the old city and the new city, I stayed in the new city part which is completely away from the old city. Of course, the old city has the tourist spots, The ports, the beach , the museums and all the old charm. The new city has nothing for tourists except Wonderla amusement park, which was near to the property I stayed in . overall this city, is still super green, quite safe and the airport area is now very well developed with accommodation options. The railway station is really small and congested. even the metro is there now. Vegetarian options for people like us are difficult. Healthy food options are even more difficult in the I. You have lots of places to visit, Fort Cochin, Island, Vyppin, Bolgatty.... Visiting Fort Cochin by taking the boat ride is a good experience. There are many Churches you can visit. Moving around Lulu Mall is another excellent experience one must have while at Kochi or Ernakulam. KSRTC service is also good. Auto is bit expensive for budget travellers.
