The place was wonderful. Very peaceful and green with great lake views. Food was excellent and varied. Main contact was via whatsapp (very swift responses), even before the stay. However, the friendly manager also came to see us and check if there was anything we needed. Food needs to be pre-ordered but everything is fresh (many things from their own garden). It was pretty hot but the AC and fan (also outside) were working well. We spent a lot of time reading outside in front of our cabin.

Perfect place to escape busy and crowded city and enjoy quiet village atmosphere. Paradise for birdwatchers. Breakfast was good, and there are two restaurants nearby. I would recommend the nearest one (Lake N Cruise). The food is simple and cheap, and it's a perfect spot to enjoy magic sunsets at 6 pm. It is also easy to reach Kumarakom center and bird sanctuary (tuk-tuk 150 rupees one way). Early morning backwater boat ride for three hours though small canals was something special. And many thanks for sincere hospitality to the hosts, who were super friendly and helpful. Overall 10+!

Wonderful experience! The property is gorgeous and tranquil. It is far from the town of Alleppey, which meant we had to travel by tuk tuk to get anywhere (like to a kayaking trip), but the position allowe for it to be peaceful, have a remote feeling, and not be full of mosquitoes! The food was excellent, particularly the breakfast buffet, which was also very affordable. The service was also incredible. The staff was very kind and attentive. Most of all, we loved the amenities, like the pool, badminton court, and gym. We are a couple and enjoyed it very much, but saw lots of families enjoying their experiences too. Highly recommend! Thank you!

    Kumarakom is a beautiful village famous for its serene backwaters, lakes filled with lotus, small roads and above all, its warm and welcoming people. Found it easy to engage in delightful conversations, experiencing genuine local hospitality and culture firsthand. However, if you are unaccustomed to village life, a few precautions will enhance your experience. Always carry mosquito repellent, especially during evenings near the water bodies, Don't drink Toddy and Spicy foods

    Good : Great waterfront locations, lots of superb landscaped resorts with lots of birds and calm and quiet neighbourhood. Bad : Very few good restaurants in and around the area, and food served at most of the upscale star hotels and resorts is very poor in quality and expensive, especially the dinner. Note : Avoid during peak summer (March & April) as it is very hot and humid.

    The backwaters of Kumarakom are exquisite, quiet, and peaceful. Lovely friendly people. It's a small place, so 2 or 3 days is more than enough. I battled to find an ATM that (a) worked and (b) would let me withdraw money on an international card. You need cash in Kumarakom.

    The local people were very kind and helpful , directing us to the different places of interest. They never tried to cheat us or overcharge. Even on walks thru small village lanes people were nice and never looked at us with suspicion.Overall a nice place with friendly people.

    It was an overnight home stay ,the property is well located and easy to access backwaters by speed boatand house boat which they own , Rooms were clean n tidy , though people with difficulty in climbing stairs must avoid as rooms are on first n second floor They don't cater for lunch currently but meals for night are catered if required ,meals are tasty and hygienic Both the property owners are hospitable and warm Best part was ride by Speed boat to the sunset point through backwaters ,enjoyed thoroughly
