We had a fantastic stay at Jungle Hut. We loved the place, we had the feeling to be far from the World with a fantastic view on the mountains, the deers coming early in the misty morning in the garden. We did the 2 morning walks proposed by the hotel and both was really great. Highly recommended. Massages are nice also. I wish we will come back again. The hospitality is second to non. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The room is extremely clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The place is so peaceful and relaxing and the view from the terrace is lovely. The tour with guide Daniel was really amazing. I learnt so much about the forest. He can really help you understand how nature works in this area. So much more than spotting animals. Manu helped me organize so many things to make our trip work out well. If you watch the film Elephant Whisperer you will see what this area is all about. Despite not having a car to get there or away we still had a great time with help and introductions from Manu. Thank you and all the staff at Labdhi for a wonderful few days.

    The property is near Masinagudi but if you are not used to...

    The property is near Masinagudi but if you are not used to travelling often, you might feel a bit uneasy as it is in the middle of no-where. But again, we don't want civilization to creep in nature. It is near Ooty but still a well kept secret.

    The route is very scenic, you'll get to see several wild animals on the route. There are good restaurants in the city. The climate is also very good, but try not to roam around at night as elephants might be there. Also, due to less pollution you can see stars clearly at night.

    Great location for people wanting to experience stay in...

    Great location for people wanting to experience stay in forest reserve. However a little out of way. Food choices in the hotel were limited but adequate and well cooked. Hot water was a plus. Masinadudi is not a place for much sightseeing other than the hit or miss safaris. Also no city center to hang out. So hotel or safari are only choices. Overall a unique and different experience from standard hotels. I do have to commend the staff for their helpfulness and curtesy.

    Peaceful village adjacent to the forest- full of scenic locations and serenity. Mudumalai and Bandipur are very nearby so that you can plan your jungle safaris Ooty is also not so far and the route to ooty is filled with scenic spots.

    The room and service. Room was very spacious, clean, well lit and spacious bathroom. When you see Kohler as bathroom fittings, you can understand the quality consciousness of the place. The care taker Raju is a hospitality school by himself. Hotel management students should learn from him Food is homely and tasty. I believe it is the Leadership - Mr Pushp Chand who ensures the guests are comfortable. Dynamic yet humble person! A big shout out to the entire staff!!!

    It's been a wonderful stay for 2 nights with my family and friends at Tamarind property, Masinagudi. Property owner Mr. Kumar and Manager Mr. Manu were very helpful and sweet. The property has a beautiful garden with green lush landscape facing Nilagiri mountain.The property serves only Veg food including breakfast. But, They arrange non veg homemade foods for us from outside at request. We look forward to visiting them again on our next visit.
