The room was surprisingly nice and large, even though the hotel looked rundown from the outside. Everything except for mirrors and washbasin was clean. Friendly English speaking staff who were answering all my travel related questions. The WiFi is good WHEN it's working, but often it would disappear for long periods of time. Excellent location. Both incoming and outgoing buses stop right outside the hotel. There's a little shop right outside as well.

I had an incredible experience at this beach side Malgudi homestay in Murud, nestled in the heart of Konkan. The location is perfect—just steps away from the serene and picturesque beach, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. What truly sets this homestay apart is the authentic Konkan hospitality and the delicious, homemade food. Every meal was a culinary delight, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and traditional flavors that captured the essence of the region. From the perfectly spiced fish curry, fresh prawns to the soft delicious Ukadiche Modak and tangy Kokam curry, every dish was a testament to their commitment to quality and authenticity. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable stay. The hosts were incredibly warm and accommodating, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
