The Bandhavgarh National park is a beautiful place and so many zones where one can go on safaris provided you have done your bookings. Lovely place and lot of animals to see as you go on your safaris. The star attraction being Tigers. So surely a place to explore from Nature, Plants, Birds and Animals all in their natural settings with minimal to no human intervention guess that is what makes it amazing. A must visit.

The tiger safaris are fantastic. you see a lot of other animals too but I came for the tigers. because there is a good density. And I saw three tigers., and bits of another tiger hiding behind a bush.

Tala is the main core area of Bandhavgarh however tiger sighting was better in nearby other zone called Magadhi. Prebooking jeep safaris is recommended,I stayed at Wildflower Resort and they managed tatkal safari for me else the trip would have been a waste.

The forest in the area is beautiful.

The forest in the area is beautiful. Tala is a hilly jungle zone which makes it different from the other prominent zones. The roads are slightly narrow and only the Gypsy plies well. During the Jungle Safari, we could see many spotted deer families, Sambhars, elephants, peacocks, vultures and a leopard (rare), but no tigers. Tigers are being spotted more in the 'Khitauli' zone these days. There is the Bandhavgarh Fort in the Tala zone, said to built by Lord Rama for his brother Laxmana, and hence called Bandhavgarh (Bandhu=brother). Part of the Jungle Safari here is the visit close to the Fort where majestic stone carved monolith moortis of various incarnations of Lord Vishnu can be seen along with many ponds and water-streams. There is also an ancient Jwalamukhi Temple in this area, easily accessible. There's ample shopping choices for hand-crafted tribal artefacts & other stuff available. All in all, Khitauli is the area for more Tiger sightings. Tala is the area for a lot more.
