    The gigantic & green mountains at 15k feet with snowing around enroute Bumla will provide the remniscents of Interlaken in Switzerland. I have visited both and I can vouch the lakes of Arunachal enroute Bumla can enthral you as much as the lake in Interlaken. A bit more cleanliness is what the mountains in Arunachal deserves. The stories of the Indo-Sino 62 war narrated by the soldiers protecting our sovereignty at such a hostile ambience in Bumla will spur your patrotism.

    Tawang is a small hill station but can be over crowded...

    Tawang is a small hill station but can be over crowded because of weekends or festival holidays or new year holidays. Lot of traffic restrictions but traffic is very well regulated.Beautiful place having lakes, monastries and waterfalls. Journey to and fro Sela Pass is magnificent.Minimum 4 days stay is required to explore.

    The place along with all its neighbourhood are excellent.

    The place along with all its neighbourhood are excellent. One gets snow if the visit is around winter, while one gets flowers if it is during summer. Near the rainy seasons, the nearby water falls are beautiful. For working persons, whenever one can manage leave, this place is great. For others, all seasons have something to offer.

    Tawang boasts stunning scenery, making it an idyllic retreat for peace enthusiasts. However, be cautious of the local opportunists who excessively charge for trips to Bumla Pass, near the Indo-China Border.

    Tawang is heaven, nothing less.

    Tawang is heaven, nothing less. I think it was better than Ladakh. Bumla Pass was awesome. You can see the China Border and the chinese soldiers in their white attire just 100 metres away. The Indian army briefed us about the terrain and the history about the Bumla Pass. It was a different experience altogether. There are army run cafes at many places on the way from Dirang to Tawang with non CSD canteens attached. You can buy very good quality warm clothing and shoes from these canteens and enjoy the Parathas, Maggi and Coffee at very reasonable rates at these cafes. Since these are run by the army, these cafes are very neat and clean. Tawang is a 7 hours drive from Dirang by car. On the way you can enjoy the awesome greenery and lovely valleys and lakes. Overall, a must go destination.

    It is wonderful experience to visit Tawang for both its...

    It is wonderful experience to visit Tawang for both its cultural places as well as the scenic tourst spots. Especially the Bum La pass where India and Tibet have border. Across the border you can see the Chinese soldiers. You can also see the tough conditions under which our Jawans of Army are guarding our borders. You will feel very proud about them and emotional to be there at the border. It is worth visiting once in a lifetime. When we visited, except the road all sides is full of of snow. Having the bright sunny and clear sky is lucky. Visit to Madhuri (Sungester) lake is very beautiful. It is serene and lovely, surrounded by mountains on all sides.
