We had a great stay. Room was quiet big with comfortable beds. Shared kitchen was very well equipped. And host even left some breakfast which was a lovely surprise!

Walkable to everything in Reykjavik but in a quieter part of the city. We got lucky with a free parking space in front of the hotel for our entire stay. We were able to check in early which was appreciated after a long flight. Dinner at the restaurant was exceptional.

Everything was perfect. The people there are welcoming and friendly. Loads of space to park. Dinner was really nice. Easily the best view we had from any accommodation during our time in Iceland (which is really saying something because it's a beautiful country). The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with all the facilities we could possibly have wanted. We used the hot tub and sauna shortly after we arrived which was just perfect after our long journey.

Location was good, near the harbour and within walking distance to famous eats as well as city centre. Staff were very friendly and accommodating (even helped us to contact the tour company when we missed the pickup).

Newly renovated during the spring of 2023, Hotel Local 101 is an independent hotel quietly tucked away in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, on a charming street made up of classical Icelandic homes.
