We enjoyed the cabin we stayed in. The bedding was very nice and the kitchen perfectly stocked with dishes. The playground was fun. The office sells some camping supplies. There are not enough showers, only one for each gender. The kitchen/cooking area is bare bones. There are some nice tables inside. The staff was very helpful and kind.Guest review byK - 10.0

Hofn is great, quiet and cosy, but I believe that staying in the nearby villages is even more comfy. The town has a few great restaurants, a really wonderful little pool with hot tubs. We loved this town and wish we had been able to stay 2 nights! It was rainy and foggy during our stay so could not really see the full beauty of it. We went to the tourist information center and were greeted by a very helpful women. We booked a family room and the space is alright and the facilities is just acceptable. The cabins were constructed next to a some kind of a truck workshop and the reception is 1km away. It was like living a dream, It was like being Diabolik and Eva Kant staying at one of their secret houses, a deluxe one. Being in the middle of nowhere with nothing around was an other interesting feeling: you are safe and warm inside the house, at the same time you are totally alone in the middle of an Icelandic landscape. We stayed at more expensive guesthouses in other parts of Iceland where you had to share a bathroom with an entire floor. Arriving to a comfy bed with our own bathroom, a working coffee machine, a great view, close to all amenities and restaurants, at a reasonable price, we were in heaven.
