Cute little town with scenic walking/running tails.
Cute little town with scenic walking/running tails. It has everything an authentic Icelandic town needs: a grocery store, gas station, cafe with decent coffee, swimming pool and lots of nature around.

This hotel is essentially a working farm. Horses, sheeps and lambs are the primary products. The highlight of this establishment is the friendliness of the staff. Having breakfast in the morning was like eating in your own kitchen and having quiet conversations with friends and family. They also provided guidance to find the local puffin population.
Standard Icelandinc wood floors and cleanliness.

Very cozy little place to spend a night or two while traveling around Iceland.
We decided to take a night off from sleeping in the camper van and were very happy with our choice as Hotel Gerpir had a great shower and comfortable beds. It's within walking distance of the small town area where we were able to get a nice meal.

We arrived very late at the hotel. The reception was already closed, but fortunately there was a phone number provided for a lady who helped us get inside. Waiting for us inside was a spacious apartment that had everything we needed for an overnight stay.
