The breakfast is one of the best among all the hotels we stayed in Iceland. The staff went out of their way to serve you. I left my notebook computer charger in the hotel. I had to leave on cruise the next day. They found it and sent it to Fosshotel Reykajvik so that I can pick it up after my cruise and on my way to London.

Liked the place, especially the grill and hot tub. The place is clean and we had the cabin for ourselves. We enjoyed the hot tub and a good night sleep. It was close to the two waterfalls that we planned to visit.

The secluded cabin feel. The hot tub was excellent and was great even in a blizzard! The cabin was quiet even with the wind and the rain. Lots of glass to see the northern lights through.

The staff at A HOTEL were very friendly, and the breakfast was as delicious and plentiful as described by other guests. What amazed us the most was the hotel's dinner. When we checked in, the staff informed us that dinner was available for reservation. We ordered the fish fillet and lamb, both were very tasty and juicy, priced reasonably, and accompanied by delicious bread. It was the best value meal we've had in the past two weeks. Dining while looking at the views outside was very relaxing. They also have a small shop displaying beautiful wool products. Highly recommend A HOTEL.

Berglind was awesome. She was so friendly and fun to talk with. We got to see her beautiful horses and walk around the property and she was very knowledgeable about the area and all things Icelandic. There's even a hot spring coming out of the river on her property. It was so fun to stay in the tower climb up and down the winding stairs and just admire how it was constructed. The view from the top is spectacular and a perfect place to have a glass of wine, admire the view and watch the horses. We were very fortunate to see the northern lights while there, even though it was August.

The annual music festival was great as ever with fine program and performing artists. The new church has outstanding acoustics and do not forget do have a glance at the old church from 1887 and the Snorri Sturluson bath originated from 13th century.

We stayed about 20 min away in a private chalet. But there is a hotel there, location is good if you want to explore the western section of Iceland. We had dinner one night at the hotel and it was very good. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

We very much enjoyed visiting Hraunfossar and Barnafoss. We loved Krauma and seeing the Deildartunguhver Hot Springs. We ate at Hotel Á and the Rock 'n' Troll restaurant--also one I would recommend.

Lovely location outside Reykholt - great for hiking, access to glacier, waterfalls, museums around Rekholt, geothermal springs. Great common space with lots of atmosphere and spaces to sit, play games, have coffee or a glass of wine. Delicious meals served for dinner and breakfast buffet and coffee were perfect. Can’t go past the staff who go above and beyond to help out. LOVED our stay here. Didn’t want to leave.

Remote location but this is the charm of Iceland. Interesting to pop in to nearby town of Reykholt. Really enjoyed the hot tub, watching the stars. Everything we needed was there. Good communications from host.

Everything was great. The room, the common areas, kitchen for our use, modern bathrooms, the breakfast, and the helpful family owners. The price is excellent compared to many Icelandic places.

Dinner was quite good for a Fosshotel (our experience of Fosshotel was mainly poor), and the restaurant manager was excellent (but not always present.....and with no apparent sub).
