We are walking the GTA. Alagna is a great place for a few days rest and to explore the local villages. It’s a great place to learn more about the Walser people and their culture. Alagna is a hidden gem. 17th century architecture in a ski resort at a very affordable price. Superb hiking in the summer. Good restaurants and wine bars and a cool vibe. It’s not for everyone but for me it hits the spot every time. If skiing and hiking aren’t your scene, some of Europe’s best kayaking is also on your doorstep. They went the extra mile for us, thoroughly recommend. -The facilities were great.
