Baja Sardinia is all about the beach during the day and the bars/restaurants at night. The beach is soft sand with easy access into crystal clear waters. It can get choppy when it’s windy, but on a calm warm day the water is delightful. The depth increases very gradually so is safe for children and less adept swimmers alike. The town has several great restaurants and bars, easily enough to eat somewhere different every night for a week. Personal favourites include Foodie (relaxed atmosphere with really great food at sensible prices), Pizzeria Sole Mare (casual pizzeria with great staff), Ristorante Corbezzolo (great menu, very friendly staff, upstairs so not accessible to disabled) and Ristorante Il Guscio (great atmosphere when it busy - sit outside by the olive tree and under the lights - great pasta). There are many more to choose from with varying demands on the wallet. There are several wine and cocktail bars, all lively and usually with music - sometimes live. If you are into wine, especially Sardinian, I recommend Il Vigneto di Bacco. A lovely little wine bar with outdoor seating right on the front. There are other activities including boat trips and diving all available to be booked in the town. Overall a great place to stay if you want to chill on the beach (or by a pool if your accommodation has one), eat well, drink well and just relax. Oh, and there are live music sessions held on the ‘stage’ in the middle of the main promenade. These usually start quite late so can be enjoyed with and after dinner drink at one of the bars.Guest review byMastonUnited Kingdom
