The location had amazing views over the vineyards and all the way to the snowy Alps when its clear. It was really quiet in April because of the off season, but we still managed to get a tour and a tasting in the winery. Wines were absolutely beautiful. NOTE: having a car is a must in this area. Even though there was no breakfast, you could find coffee, water and something small to eat in the kitchen. For making dinner yourself the kitchen was perfect. Also the outdoor area was really nice to have a glass of wine next to the vines. Grazie mille!

    Barbaresco is the Queen of Langhe (if the Barolo is the King). It is a must visit if you travel to Piedmont because it is embodiment of the rel values and qualities that the one would expect to find on such a travel. It is the place and the region where you can have a great wine, but also learn about many wonderful families and meet wonderful people that are producing the wines of Barbaresco. It is a place with history on each step of your way, an amazing small villages each one of it with the distinctive local history and a landscape with wonderful small castles and an endless view on the vineyars that is captivating. Plan your stay for a several days and if possible plan a day per village - it is the trully amazing experience that you will have in each one of it. Taste the wine that have been produced from the wine yard that you can see in front of you and learn about the people and places where it is produced. Highly recomended fro wine lovers, but also for a family visits.

    The town is very picturesque.

    The town is very picturesque. Great views off into the vineyards and further off into the Alps. We only ate at one restaurant in town, Campamac. It was pricey, but excellent. We had a good hike through the neighbouring vineyards. We didn't do any wine tastings, but there seemed to be plenty of opportunities.

    Bertu's house is ample and well equipped. The location is perfect for discovering Barbaresco excellence in wine. Or just staying in a quiet countryside location. Different weather will help you enjoy all aspects of the view, reaching to alpes in the horizon and the villages and houses among Barbaresco's grand cru sloping fields. We arrived late so Alberto gave us ingredients to make a pasta dinner with home made tomato sauce 💕

    It is a one-of-a-kind place. Amazing view of the whole area. Neat room. And most importantly, the best breakfast we had during our visit to Piedmont. Good and tasty products, not market and cheapest. Highly recommended. The town of Barbaresco is a wonderful place, atmospheric and quiet, but with some great places for dinner and a glass of wine.
