We had a room with balcony and sea view. It had dual aspect windows, with views up the coast and out to sea. Very beautiful. You could hear the sea lapping at night if you kept the window open. The balcony was a good size and lovely for sitting on,. The location can not be more perfect. I liked the inside and outside eating areas. The hotel serves excellent food and offers a 10% discount for dinner. There is a wonderful outside eating area on a terrace overlooking the sea. We were also offered complementary prosecco both times we ate. Breakfast is pretty good, with boiled eggs, ham and cheese, and on one day we had a lovely fruit salad. Cakes and pastries were very good. There was brown and white bread. The hotel is colourful and quirky, and is even nicer than it appears in the photos. I liked that there were lots of books and guides around the hotel to be used by guests. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There was a coffee machine in the room, but as there was no facility for boiling water, the staff obligingly provided me with hot water for tea. The free WIFI was excellent.

We liked the location, its maybe 2 minutes of walking to the marine/boats. The parking wasnt too hard to find either. The woman at the reception doesnt speak english but she was nice anyway and showed us to our room. :) The room was clean and it also has a fridge.

Very spacious, deluxe double room with stunning sea and sunrise view from its balcony. Walking distance to the promenade but be prepared for walking uphill due to the town topography and the hotel location. Good continental breakfast and evening a la carte dinner. Super friendly staff. Our stay at Hotel Pop was nothing short of amazing ,it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The hotel is ideally located, with easy access to everything we needed, shops, restaurants, and local attractions were all just a short walk away, making our trip incredibly convenient. What really made our experience stand out was the exceptional hospitality, especially from Renata. She was absolutely wonderful ,warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. She made sure we were looked after throughout our stay and always went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. One thing we really appreciated was how thoughtful she was toward our 4-year-old son. She generously provided him with free breakfast, which was such a sweet and unexpected gesture. It’s little things like that which make a big difference when traveling as a family. We also arrived quite late one evening, just as the restaurant was about to close. Despite the timing, the staff still welcomed us and served us dinner without making us feel rushed at all. That level of care and flexibility meant so much after a long day of travel. Overall, the warmth of the staff, the comfort of the hotel, and the little thoughtful touches made this stay truly special. We highly recommend Hotel Pop to anyone looking for a place that combines convenience, comfort, and genuine hospitality. We’ll definitely be returning on our next visit!

    We went to Cala gonone to visit the famous beaches via boat from the port but the weather let us down unfortunately, not much else to do although it’s a beautiful place and we were only there for 2 days

    It is a lovely area with a multitude of beaches, friendly people, and plenty of restaurants. It is a long way from the airports, but the roads are good and so the 80 minute drive from Olbia isn't onerous. A parasol or some other sun shelter is a must (although it is possible to hire parasols on some beaches) - the sun is very intense and shade can be difficult to come across on many beaches, especially those accessible only by boat.

Wish there were more info on hiking trails. Good restaurants: San Francisco - reasonable price Ristorante 4 Mori - fancier placement of food, more expensive, long wait for the food to arrive.

    Good location for boat tours with pleasant waterfront walks to nice beaches. Good starting point for spectacular drive to Baunei. Plenty of eating options. The usual steep and narrow streets to make driving and walking challenging.

    It was a short 2-night stay at Cala Gonone in early April. There is so much to visit here in the region so I would like to return. Lovely beaches in Cala Gonone, romantic walks in the town, tasty meals in the welcoming restaurants. Nearby great walks to beaches where you can also get by regular boat trips. Historical sights, caves, the Gorropa canyon. There are only few tips. This is a must see place when in Sardinia!

    Really nice town in a glorious location - quite a peaceful vibe in mid-October as the season winds down. The Gulf of Orosei is the highlight, with boats trips available to isolated beaches, cliffs and caves. Highly recommend a day trip on Dovesesto (a 1940's sailing yacht) - an unforgettable day out. If you have a car, nearby walking in the mountains is spectacular.

    The hotel is very centrally located, with many restaurant options nearby. Either way the town is walking friendly and distances are small.. The room we had was very ample and comfortable. Especially enjoyed the breakfast options, very tasty. The hotel has a partnership with adjacent hotels where you can use their pool which was a great addition
