    An interesting small town that is sufficiently high on a hill to avoid the heat of Rome yet within easy travelling distance of the city. The views are spectacular. The only real difficulty is the lack of a supermarket but there are some in the nearby town of Albano.

    If you want peace, tranquility and the proximity to Rome,...

    If you want peace, tranquility and the proximity to Rome, then this is your place. If you want to vacation like a Roman, then this is your spot. If you want to get off the beaten path and not be a tourist and open yourself to the possibilities of surrounding Rome, then this is a place to visit. Lovely, small hilltop town. Great restaurants reasonably priced, wonderful people and surroundings. Food, shops, and people make you want to return to this gem of a village again and again. See the Papal place and stop in to the church in the square. Do yourself a favor and give in to Castel Gandolfo and all it has to offer. You will be glad you did.

    The view at room number 1 was great looking over lake Albano...

    The view at room number 1 was great looking over lake Albano. We were originally given a very small room when we arrived late at 23:00 hours my wife complained about the size and receptionist moved us to room7 whhich was adequate. The owner Georgego later on moved us to a bigger better room with a balcony when we arrived back at the hotel which was a nice surprise. I haves stayed at this hotel over several years and 35 years ago stayed for 8 weeks while working here on an installation . It hold a lots of good memories. I would not recommend eating an evening meal or evening refreshments as the prices are extortionate. The meals are good but there are plenty of cheaper restaurants around the lake to eat.

    Exceptional! The place was picturesque and rustic. We enjoyed our stay there especially the breakfast that came with the stay. Our host was very helpful and accommodating who went out of his way to guide us where we needed to go. I don’t mind coming back to this place in the future. Highly recommended!

    The owners communicated kindly and helpfully, they were very helpful in arriving from the airport and back, we were 5 people and it was quite difficult to arrange a taxi, but thanks to the owners, this issue was solved.

    darling town, epscially up the hill above the property near the Pope's summer residence.. cute streets with a darling piazza and numerous shops, bars, and nice restuarants... one overlooks the lake .. service was wnderful in each place we eate.... would love to come again.. just need to know more about the town and info on how to naviigate (drive) down to and accesws the beaches at the lake... .

    The best one in Castel Gandolfo, the location was perfect, the flat was extremely clean and there was everything we need, many choices for the breakfast, milk and suprisely prosecco in the fridge..🤗 Also the best view in the village, and the owner Simona helped us for the easy check-in and meet us at the check-out. Thank you for your excellent friendly hospitality. I look forward to come back again next year.🙏🏻🌸

Warm and cosy as it was cold at night. Charming building Really the flat is all about location and views we were a couple and it was great for us but it might be more cramped if both bedrooms taken

    The views were stunning and it was close to a small village with amazing restaurants and cafes, but no close supermarkets. It was easy to get to Rome by train and Uber, everything was clean and the double bed in the main room was comfortable.
