The views of Mount Etna from our apartment were breathtaking. Love the rustic vibe of the property itself. Very relaxed stay away from the busy streets of Taormina. Would defo come back here again.

I liked everything. The apartment was clean and spacious and had an absolutely incredible view from the balcony in the bedroom. Our host, Alberto, met us in person to deliver the keys. He was very friendly and welcoming and was also very responsive in his communications with us. He also provided us with recommendations of places to see and things to do. The on-site parking for our mototcycles was definitely appreciated. We ate at our host's restaurant and we had a delicious sampling of Sicilian food. It was a great meal. I would stay there again if we make it back to Castelmola.

The atmosphere of the tiny old streets and the view from the room make the place magical! The room was very spacious with a small terrace from which you can see Etna. The host is very friendly and helpfull. I would definately recommand the place and stay there again if I go back to Sicily.

This is a small hotel with friendly stuff, good food, clean room and in the center, close to everything you need (bus station, train station, shops...). Even if it is located by the street it has so good windows that you don't hear traffic at all. I can only recomend this hotel. 🙏

An excellent charming hotel! The view from the terrace/breakfast area is just amazing! We enjoyed everything. Breakfast is very good, good choice of sweets:). The staff is helpful. There is parking available, but be prepared to extreme parking spots:). Anyway staff is ready to park your car for you. The closest beach - Isola Bella - is 15-20 minutes' walk down a steep slope. We didn't like that beach and used to go to Giardini Naxos, that is just 7-10 min by car and much better (far fewer people, sandy beach). Taormina city centre is 5-10 minuets' walk up the hill. I highly recommend this hotel for those who want to find themselves in a romantic movie of the early 1900s..., surrounded by a beautiful garden and the sea...! If we are back to Taormina, we will definitely stay here again.

    It is a beautiful little mountain top village.

    It is a beautiful little mountain top village. Nice hike/walk down to Taormina or easy bus if you wish. Great place to relax. I would worry about it being even more overrun with tourists in peak season but it makes sense why. If you drive by car and are not comfortable with small, steep roads - take some anxiety meds and take your time!

    Quiet and quaint village.

    Quiet and quaint village. The views are amazing, there are the basic shops like pharmacy and grocer in case you need something. The only downside is the frequency of the busses out of Castelmola. The first one is about 6.30am-7am to go to Taormina, and then the next one is 10am. Most shops open around 10am, except for the cafe in the piazza and the pharmacy, which open earlier. You can get anywhere in Castelmola on foot. There is also il sentiero dei Saraceni which takes you on foot to Taormina. It is a steep walk down so prepare comfortable shoes if you plan on taking this walk.

    Amazing place to stay.

    Amazing place to stay. We went to Taormina for the day and enjoyed Castelmola during the evenings. Amazing view of the city and Mt Etna from the castle. It was easy to get to Taormina and we used both walking paths to get upto Castelmola, we enjoyed both paths equally. Loads of good shops/restaurants in the area too. Pizzeria Nina for pizza was amazing.

    Castelmola is a very nice and well maintained small village. We ate in the B&B so I can not say anything about the restaurants but there are Some nice bars. We had a parking space in front of the B&B for free

    It's a lovely small village above Taormina.

    It's a lovely small village above Taormina. It is quiet, has beautiful views and friendly locals. The centre is lively, however not crowded or noisy. It was perfect, we loved it even better than Taormina!

    My personal experience is that the comfort level of the stay is even higher than a 4-star hotel. You can enjoy the quietness in the evening and a perfect dinner with some wine, sitting at the high, facing the sea and the town with lightning far below, talking with someone you loved. It’s really romantic.

    If you like views, you won't find better than this! Forget Taormina, go to Castelmola! Loved everything about it. Lovely little centre to walk around. Room was beautiful, amazing balcony with a view to die for! Garage to park the car in, we had a big landrover defender and it fit in the garage.

    The cutest little village and the hotel is just outside the main square. It's totally worth living a couple of nights up here in Castelmola than in Taormina. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing!! We will definitely come back soon!!
