This accomodation is just amazing. You have a complete house with 2 balconies and one incredible rooftop terrace. The views over Taormina, the Etna and the sea are outstanding. Everything is very well equipped and the hosts care about everything really well. Thank you for this great experience. This is a small hotel with only 9 rooms, with a very friendly atmosphere. Angelo, who works there, is like a real angel, he tried to make our stay perfect. We are still talking about the tiramisu and pasta he made for us for dinner. This was the best dinner we had during our holiday in Sicily, highly recommended! Mazarro Beach is just 3 minute's walk from the hotel, they have their own access to the stairs from the garden. Mazarro Bay has very clean water, it's good for swimming, in our opinion much better than overcrowded Isola Bella Beach, which is also within walking distance from the hotel (about 7 minutes).

Castel Mola is a picturesque hilltop town above Taormina. There is a limited bus service but I would not recommend a car. There are lots of steps and narrow streets. The restaurants were good value. The church is interesting and there are great views of Etna.

Quaint town set on the top of a hill - quite amazing to visit! Fantastic views of Mt Etna and surrounds. Many cute restaurants and terraces. If you have the opportunity to stay for dinner the town has a different feel in the evening once the day trippers has have left. The famous Bar Turrisi is fantastic for drinks, dinner or Gelato.

It is a beautiful little mountain top village.

It is a beautiful little mountain top village. Nice hike/walk down to Taormina or easy bus if you wish. Great place to relax. I would worry about it being even more overrun with tourists in peak season but it makes sense why. If you drive by car and are not comfortable with small, steep roads - take some anxiety meds and take your time!

Quiet and quaint village.

Quiet and quaint village. The views are amazing, there are the basic shops like pharmacy and grocer in case you need something. The only downside is the frequency of the busses out of Castelmola. The first one is about 6.30am-7am to go to Taormina, and then the next one is 10am. Most shops open around 10am, except for the cafe in the piazza and the pharmacy, which open earlier. You can get anywhere in Castelmola on foot. There is also il sentiero dei Saraceni which takes you on foot to Taormina. It is a steep walk down so prepare comfortable shoes if you plan on taking this walk.

Amazing place to stay.

Amazing place to stay. We went to Taormina for the day and enjoyed Castelmola during the evenings. Amazing view of the city and Mt Etna from the castle. It was easy to get to Taormina and we used both walking paths to get upto Castelmola, we enjoyed both paths equally. Loads of good shops/restaurants in the area too. Pizzeria Nina for pizza was amazing.

We only had a short stay but felt really comfortable in the apartment. Two separate bathrooms were perfect for a group, comfortable beds, clean, amazing view, 30min walk by foot to Taormina, private parking. It is a bit challenging to go uphill with the car to Castelmola but in turn you get a very quiet apartment with a great view and some restaurants around. You can hear the neighbors a bit as the walls are not very thick but we personally did not mind; it was still very quiet in the evening and we slept well.

The cottage is great and has the most beautiful view on the valley and the Etna! The rooms are big and the terasse is perfect for having breakfast outside with a view. The cottage is very isolated from the rest of the hotel so it is very intimate. The staff is very nice and helpfull with the luggages, car, etc. There was also a basket of food when entering the loft! For the price, it is an amazing deal!!

The views from our room were incredible despite the weather not being fantastic. In the morning we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the breakfast with more than enough food for two of us. The host allowed us to leave our luggage after check out so we could walk around Castelmola.
