Authentic place, you feel fully immersed in the the Italian life of the 19th century, original decorations and furniture are amazing, but beds and bath are modern and very comfortable. The staff are absolutely adorable and very helpful. Great attention to the clients and famous Italian hospitality ❤️

Exceptionally clean, comfortable and situated in a very convenient location, close to all transport methods and yet quiet. The hotel is quite modern and everything worked well. We also had a balcony with a view of the lake.

We were lucky enough to get a room upgrade. The room was large and comfty, with lots of extra touchs like fresh fruit, free mini bar. Large bathroom. The location is also great.

We liked everything! Location, area, atmosphere, breakfast. But the main advantage is the stuff! Thank you for your welcome, hospitality, professional approach, and kindness. They gave us better rooms, place for parking near the hotel, explanation. I travel a lot, so I can compare. One of the best or maybe the best stuff I have ever met! Thank you very very! I love this hotel! The staff is very helpful, polite, talkative and kind. The view from the room was amazing. Very comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom. The hotel is very old-kind-exclusive, so you can feel a bit like James Bond (Sean Connery style). Breakfast was delicious and once again - the service will make you feel like royalty. I must say - It was our first time in northern Italy and I have to admit that there is a different, calmer and friendlier atmosphere here than, for example, in Rome or on the Amalfi coast. An ideal place to relax. Grazie mille!

    It was a wonderful week. Very well located near Laveno Center of east side of Lago Maggiore. Biggest adventure is the train station with direct train to Milano. In the village of Cittiglio are some very good restaurants where you can eat on low price level. The appartment is not so far from the Lago but not in a overloaded touristic area.
