Everything was absolutely perfect. The staff is very nice, the check-in was great, the rooms were on the smaller side and and they are very simple but overall excellent and clean. They have everything you need and it's perfect to enjoy Lake Garda. It was my favorite hotel of the whole stay (even if it wasn't the fanciest). The breakfast was 10 OUT OF 10.

    Really easy to get to from Verona airport.

    Really easy to get to from Verona airport. Beautiful views of the Lake and quick to get to Sirmione which is stunning but can get really busy with tourists. Desenzano town is lovely, lots of eateries, pretty streets, friendly people and beautiful views. The market on a Tuesday was really good, nice to walk around. Many things eg the castle etc are closed on a Monday. I was there 2.5 days which felt enough for me. This included a day in Sirmione. I explored the main sites and then spent a day in Verona on the way home, well worth a day trip or visit.

    Fantastic location on the lake as close to all travel links...

    Fantastic location on the lake as close to all travel links and amenities. The ferries are central and run regular to other parts of the lake, the train station is not too far away and great for trips to Verona etc. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and events keep appearing on the weekends.

    Desenzano is a great choice if you are looking to explore Lake Garda. Its a quieter, smaller town (less tourisy if you like) then some others around the lake, which is something we appreciated. Lots of restaurants and scenic spots. Also has larger supermarkets, shopping malls etc nearby. Beach was ok, pebbly and rocky, but water was very clean. Unfortunately the beach had a wasp problem, but most people didnt seem to mind.

    Most of the restaurants are over priced and too touristy, especially round the port and main church square. We eventually found Osteria Vinoste, Via Roma, which is opposite the lido beach but you have to book in advance... lovely place and staff and we went back. There are some good other ones but we had only a few days. The lack of cash machines was disappointing, make sure to bring euros cash here (Boats, ice cream etc). None of the local buses were on time and we had to take a taxi each time to go to the train station as it's too far to walk with luggage... very unreliable especially the small city buses ;(( The trains however are very good everywhere. I recommend spending time in the Tourist Info inside the station as they have local maps and timetables and were very helpful ! there is an area arounf the Castle which did look very different, quieter with local restos, def. would stay there next time! And you can walk to the station !

    It really was an R&R stop as we were hiking the MTB and moving onto the Dolomites. It wasn’t really our type of place, the little towns up the coast were pleasant, unfortunately as said they were not our scene .. so can’t really comment for others ..

    A centrally located resort on the lake.

    A centrally located resort on the lake. Lots of parking, loads of restaurants, we had super meals at Animo pizza and La Brasserie 15. Highly recommend hiring a boat with dolphin boats and going out on the lake - 3 hours was just about enough time. Absolutely huge market on Tuesday morning. Central location to visit towns either side of the lake. Much preferred Desenzano to the much busier and more touristy resorts of garda and bardolino.

    Absolutely fantastic an apartment, everything is newest and very clean, the best breakfast we ate in our vacation in Italy. An amazing landscape view on Desenzano del garda. But everything that was wrote before is nothing compared to the personality of hostess at the hotel. Sofia was very kindness for us! Everything that she's recommended has met our an expectation for 100% We would like to thank you for spending a few days in your apartments! Highly Recommended!     The location is fantastic. Desenzano is such a pretty town. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. Parking straight out front. The hotel itself is very average, very dated decor, bright green strip lights on our floor, a very dirty little outdoor area (cigarette butts, dead plants, broken tiles). However it is cheap and the location makes up for its misgivings. Also the receptionists were lovely.

    Excellent location, great breakfast & so tasty. Rooms cleaned every day. We stayed in the regular double room with a balcony. We had a stunning view over looking the pool and could see the lake in the distance. The hotel was a 5 min walk from the station and 10 mins down hill to the centre. I would highly recommend Hotel Benaco when staying in Desenzano. Great value for money.

    We had a great time at Admiral Villa Erme. The staff is very friendly and always helpful and charming. The hotel is situated close to the bus stop with convenient connection to train station, Desenzano and Sirmione. We used the free bicycles several times. We did in particular enjoy the pool and the hot tub and the relaxing environment. We will consider coming back.
