We visited in early November, and were blessed with glorious weather, in the off season would recommend hiring a car to discover the Amalfi coast, yes narrow roads and very twisty and Italian driving can be a little unnerving at first, but after an hour of driving you begin to understand how everyone else drives and generally Italian are courteous, just need to go for it a little. Hire a small car! Gragnano is not a tourist town, but you get the feel how Italians live. It is perfectly located to explore some great places.Guest review bySweeney - 8.0

Gragnano is historically a pasta capital and extremely closed to Pompei. In one evening you can have an idea of the place and have an incredible pasta experience at a local restaurant. Gragnano is somehow perfectly located in the middle of world-wide known holiday and visit sites. He went out of his way to help us with anything we needed. The room itself was immaculate and we came home to a fresh room everyday. The daily breakfast was great too, my husband and sister are still talking about his coffee. Comfy bed, air con, wifi were all waiting for us after a long day of exploring southern Italy. The property was in the middle of bustling mad gragnano but was a wonderful way to’feel’ naples. Not glam, not perfect but real life Napoli. Driving was insane but safe parking lock up down 2 alleys under a building. We were even given a bottle of local Grandads wine. Local square pizza from family shop excellent. Breakfast was simple but good. We did not have a car and were kindly picked up by the hosts from one of the many nearby bus stations (though there is a garage you can park in or a scooter available to rent).
