I felt compelled to write this, my first review with Booking.com, such was my brilliant experience with Marco and his friends and family! I was made so welcome, and found fast friends with my hosts, who invited me to the beach with them and were gracious enough to offer to share their dinner with me. The location is definitely only for the able bodied traveller. You must leave your car and hike from the road uphill with all your things on a track to reach the cabin. It was an adventure and so very worth it. Marco has worked hard to renovate the building and has made a charming space. The view is incredible, and is perfectly located to walk a further 20 minutes up the hill to a church with astonishingly beautiful and panoramic views of the lake for sunrise. The setting at the edge of the water was beautiful. Our balcony, just a few meters from the lake. All the amenities in the room were there. What was really a stand out for us was the incredible staff, especially Jéssica, Stefano in the restaurant where we had very nice options available to us (BTW, he makes the best cappuccinos ever) and at the reception desk as well Orietta. We have already recommended Hoel Meridiana to others, and if we ever go back to Lake Como, we would not consider staying any other place!

    Super apartment in an ideal spot for touring Lago di Como. Apartment is about 300m from the Cadenabbia ferry landing (also called the Griante ferry landing). Short walk to Villa Carlotta. Good pizzerie right next to the apartment (Pizzeria Rodrigo). With a day pass on the ferry, it was easy to get to Bellagio and Veranna and from there we also took a ferry directly to Villa Carlotta -- but beware -- the smaller ferry landings offer far fewer options for getting around the lake. With the day pass for the ferry, we were able to get back to Griante, have a rest, and get back out there for more fabulous Lago di Como sightseeing.

    Beautiful little town on the Lake Como.

    Beautiful little town on the Lake Como. Not much to do in the town itself but it’s very well connect to other towns like Bellagio, Menaggio and others. Quiet, away from tourists, perfect get away and the buzz of other towns is just a quick ferry journey away

    Location was just perfect.

    Location was just perfect. Very nice pool and cocktail area on the terrace. Room was nice with a view of the lake. Shower was slightly damaged not good. Breakfast was awful and dinner was very below average. I would recommended eating outside in some very nice restaurants nearby.

    Great location away from the tourist crowds. We hiked up to the San Martino chapel on advice from proprietors and we’re so glad we did. Stunning views. Corner grocery store had everything we needed.

    Wonderful views. Easy access to mountains and lake. Good ferry availability close by to neighbouring attracrtions.Good bus service. Se stayed right next door to a locals eat here restaurant with freshly cooked pasta, grills etc. good atmosphere. Might avoid some small bars on the water front another time..they were mixed standard.

    Poor value for money.

    Poor value for money. The hotel benefits from the stunning location it finds itself in, but the service, excluding reception and parkers, should have been at the level required for a Grand Hotel (size of room, junior staff preparation, food)

    Great location with fantastic views across Lake Como towards Bellagio. Modern appartments with free car park around the corner and restaurants, cafes, bar and mini supermarket all within 2 minute walk. All the appartments are slightly different layout with the top floor lake view appartments the biggest and best. Helpful staff but checkin is at hotel Bazzoni in Tremezzo, about 15 minute walk away. Griante is a great location with scattered restaurants and cafes along the lake and 15 minute walk to Tremezzo.

    I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was excellent: the service was top-notch, the rooms were very clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped. All the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay were provided. The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive, always ready to help with anything we needed. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and well-managed accommodation. Would definitely come back!

    The perfect location and sensational views make this old family run hotel great value. The bus stop is right on the doorstep and the ferry to Bellagio is 3 minutes walk away. After the tourist masses at Bellagio we loved the down-to-earth restaurant at Hotel Riviera with fun staff and a lively mix of locals. There’s also a great local bar right next door.
