I felt compelled to write this, my first review with Booking.com, such was my brilliant experience with Marco and his friends and family! I was made so welcome, and found fast friends with my hosts, who invited me to the beach with them and were gracious enough to offer to share their dinner with me. The location is definitely only for the able bodied traveller. You must leave your car and hike from the road uphill with all your things on a track to reach the cabin. It was an adventure and so very worth it. Marco has worked hard to renovate the building and has made a charming space. The view is incredible, and is perfectly located to walk a further 20 minutes up the hill to a church with astonishingly beautiful and panoramic views of the lake for sunrise. Amazing and modern apartment right next to lake Como. Very convenient location, as it’s very close to the port, where you can reach Bellagio and Varenna in a very short trip! Also very close to Menaggio. The beds were comfortable and in the kitchen there was everything that you might need during your stay. Sheryl was amazing, she responded very fast, and answered any questions or concerns you might have. Check in and check out was easy!

The apartment is well-furnished and very clean. Has amazing view and a roof terrace. The hosts are very nice and helpful. They allowed us early check-in and late check-out free of charge. When we told them the cooking pan was burnt by previous guests and we couldn’t find a pot, they brought completely new ones that same day.

I don't even know where to begin. This place was exceptional! My family and I took the ferry to Bellagio, and as soon as we disembarked, the hotel was right in front our eyes! What else could we do but jump for joy as we did not have to carry our luggage up a hill as we were doing for almost 2 weeks! Entry was super fast and easy. There was also a lift in the building! We were escorted to our rooms, which were amazing! The size of the room, the king size bed which were so comfortable I did not want to leave the next morning, the bathroom was also big and spacious with a separate shower and a tub, the room decor, the amenities, we just loved everything! We even went to the spa to relax for a bit before heading for dinner. The next day, we unfortunately had to check out, so we had breakfast with a view overlooking the lake. Breakfast was self-serve, and there were various items to choose from (Cereal, fruits, yogurt, croissants; plain, chocolate etc, scrambled eggs, salad, different types of cheese, cold cuts and more). This was one of the best stays my family and I had in Italy! Will definitely return!

The views are great. The place is clean. The staff were great. I wish they had a better breakfast. Other places we stayed at had a much better breakfast and cheaper rates.

    Super apartment in an ideal spot for touring Lago di Como. Apartment is about 300m from the Cadenabbia ferry landing (also called the Griante ferry landing). Short walk to Villa Carlotta. Good pizzerie right next to the apartment (Pizzeria Rodrigo). With a day pass on the ferry, it was easy to get to Bellagio and Veranna and from there we also took a ferry directly to Villa Carlotta -- but beware -- the smaller ferry landings offer far fewer options for getting around the lake. With the day pass for the ferry, we were able to get back to Griante, have a rest, and get back out there for more fabulous Lago di Como sightseeing.

    Beautiful little town on the Lake Como.

    Beautiful little town on the Lake Como. Not much to do in the town itself but it’s very well connect to other towns like Bellagio, Menaggio and others. Quiet, away from tourists, perfect get away and the buzz of other towns is just a quick ferry journey away

    Location was just perfect.

    Location was just perfect. Very nice pool and cocktail area on the terrace. Room was nice with a view of the lake. Shower was slightly damaged not good. Breakfast was awful and dinner was very below average. I would recommended eating outside in some very nice restaurants nearby.

    Great location away from the tourist crowds. We hiked up to the San Martino chapel on advice from proprietors and we’re so glad we did. Stunning views. Corner grocery store had everything we needed.

    Wonderful views. Easy access to mountains and lake. Good ferry availability close by to neighbouring attracrtions.Good bus service. Se stayed right next door to a locals eat here restaurant with freshly cooked pasta, grills etc. good atmosphere. Might avoid some small bars on the water front another time..they were mixed standard.

    Poor value for money.

    Poor value for money. The hotel benefits from the stunning location it finds itself in, but the service, excluding reception and parkers, should have been at the level required for a Grand Hotel (size of room, junior staff preparation, food)

    I asked for a twin room with single beds as I was travelling with my 13 yr old daughter when we arrived there was a double bed with a cot !! Breakfast is a free for all and although it runs from 7 am to 10 am there was hardly anything left at 0915 ...when I asked for coffee the attitude of the so called waiter was dissappointing . The price for a long vodka and tonic was €22 The location and facilities are great but overpriced for what it is. I have been to this hotel several times prior to covid ...doubt I will use it again

    I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was excellent: the service was top-notch, the rooms were very clean, and the kitchen was well-equipped. All the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay were provided. The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive, always ready to help with anything we needed. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and well-managed accommodation. Would definitely come back!

    Situated right on Lake Como, we had a view of the lake from our room which was a bit on the small side but functional. The bed was excellent and there was a small fridge. The hotel could do with redecorating and the electric sockets were a bit dodgy in some places. Helpful friendly staff, resident dog is very sweet too.

    Paolo and his team are exceptional hosts, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is ideally located if you just want to go for a walk, likewise, if you decide to take one of the many ferries to other towns on the lake.
